I'm really enjoying this drama so far! I don't want to sound offensive in ANY way, but I didn't see it mentioned…
there is a discussion tread about it on this page. Most likely he is that way because he grew up lonely and hasn't learnt how to communicate, plus maybe has some personality quirks. He improves tremendously through the series.

I am still amazed how each episode is so good, the show just keep delivering on great dialogs, great acting, wholesome comedic moments, cinematography. Why, why is it only 16 episodes?
But I feel it was explained pretty well, why Mijoo did what she did. Doesn't mean it was right, but there were reasons to make a mistake
