Once in a while there is a c-drama that just moves into my heart and occupies every corner of it, leaving no room for anything else I am supposed to do, think about, or watch. And I am generally not a big fan of c-dramas, I watch a lot more stuff from SK. Peculiar.
As I understand it, Woo Yeo already knows the way to get the marble back (his friend ex-gumiho said so). Then…
I understood it differently from other commenters. When he tried to get the marble back, it unexpectedly turned blue. He was surprised to see it, so he left it in her. Then he wanted to keep her close for safety while he would try to figure out how to turn the marble blue and how to make it stay that way so that he could take it. There is no guaranty also that it will turn blue once it absorbs all her energy since it did not work with the previous girl.
Wow, this is unexpectedly good (as of 10eps I watched). Not the usual silly style we often see in Chinese dramas, this has a serious gripping storyline with many secrets, and very good acting. I even don't feel like skipping scenes because there are no fillers.
This deserves more recognition. Really well done. Great characters and acting, cinematography, music, themes, chemistry between the leads, even ghost cgi, I love it all. It reminds me of some other, popular, dramas like Hotel Del Luna, Mystic Pop-Up Bar, and even IOTNBO, and I love it way more than those, it just feels more wholesome and real (as far as ghost stories go).
ok, I found a way to watch it, but it is not free: 1. you need a VPN (I use Hola free version) to switch to Taiwan 2. Netflix. It's there in Taiwan, but the subs are only Chinese 3. LLN extension for learning languages on Netflix. Paid version has an option to use automatic translation. It's decent.
