I started this drama on a whim, because I liked the cover picture. I didn't read the summary plot or seen any…
I just finished reading it and I'm amazed how close the script is to the book so far, almost direct adaptation. They might need to change or expand things in the second half because of the way the novel is structured, but I have very good feelings about the rest of the drama. It's a sweet realistic story.
I think Yang Yang’s acting is good! I mean he is supposed to be mature and not a class clown? Why is that considered…
I think he plays the character here really well. Every emotion is written on his face very clearly with subtle expressions, I 100% believe it and it never felt off.
binged 12 episodes, liked it a lot, maybe because I am around that age and all the pains are so relatable... choice between dreams (and fulfilment) and financial stability, feeling that you haven't achieved anything worthwhile (no matter which path you took, tbh), burnouts and even depression, not having enough time for relationships and family, friends or family getting seriously sick.... I look at ML and I don't, even for a moment, think he cannot act, because the pain of going through this crisis of adult life is written all over his face and body, I wanted to cry so many times just looking at him.
And Jing Jing is so sweet and warm, just what he needs in this sea of desperation and cold. Her entering into his life is just a fantasy drama miracle that almost never happens in real life.
I just love how many sweet awkward situations and conversations they get into, and their reactions are golden every time. They both are growing to like each other but they don't want to make it obvious, but they can't help making it obvious with these kind of situations.
This is so damn relatable I laugh not just for them but for myself too. 😅
I appreciate the subtle message about the life of an artist: you eat up all the honey and shit life throws at you, you digest it, and then you make art. Maybe in the end we will see Nabi overcoming her creative blocks and becoming a better artist.
Many people didn't like that Na-bi fell for the "toxic" guy but we cannot deny that there is extremely good chemistry…
that chemistry and "love" is pure sexual attraction based on hormones that typically go away in relationships in about a year or two max. It might give you butterflies but then they will fly away or die, and you are left with nothing (or, worst case scenario, in a broken toxic relationships/marriage and a kid).
Wow. 8.1, seriously? I usually support early ratings for airing shows, but it seems that now the rating is down because many people dropped the show and gave it a low rating, and this is unfair, IMO, because there are only 4 episodes. How can you final-rate something you don't watch at least half-way? Just drop it.
