I agree with Bai Yutang. In a country where the government is corrupt , only normal citizens can help with punishing…
Yeah ML just won’t break the law and kill someone. Bht I loved that they showed some past stuff due to which he is not willing to kill villains. Well he definitely used to kill people from the visions they showed. Let’s see why he stopped all that. Maybe because the other guy started killing people who didn’t do crimes that needs them to be killed.
I never thought the male lead would end up becoming king at the end of the drama, but abolishing the monarchy altogether feels like an even worse turn of events.
Too bad they are trying to turn it into The Story of Min lan. It was not necessary at all. Kind of disapointed
What’s actually bad about it? I think this route is much better. Right now, the second male lead only really has two possible directions — either he turns into a complete bad guy by the end, or he gets a redemption arc after he takes his frustration on the ML. And honestly, the Minglan-type route is the better one.
He can initially act out because of jealousy and frustration, maybe take it out on the male lead for some time, but later realize things properly, help the leads against the actual villains, and eventually find his own happiness or love interest too. That kind of development is much more satisfying than just turning him into a one-dimensional villain.
At this point in the drama, that route actually feels more natural and balanced.
It feels like they are going with the 2ML lead route of The story of Ming Lan with YX here.
Here too, the second male lead waited until he had made something of himself before proposing to or asking for the female lead’s hand in marriage. Similarly, in the Minglan drama, the male lead also waited to achieve something first. But when the female lead suddenly got engaged to the main male lead, he became angry and upset. So probably the same thing will happen here as well — he might take it out on the male lead at first and then eventually move on. In the Minglan drama too, he initially blamed the male lead, but later found his own love interest, which we can also see potentially happening in this drama.
Who is ye xian's sister's husband in the Gu family? I've seen gu lian's father and the fl father, but don't remember…
Didn’t ye xian’s nephew went to travel with him when they first encountered FL. The nephew told that FL was his cousin that’s the one if the reasons Ye Xian went to the ceremony.
So this is probably the second last arc before the leads join hands and kick 2ML’s stepbrothers ass.
