Ep 19 was brutal too, especially when watching Chang Yu mourn the dead. As fine as the Sui brothers are, I hope they die horrible deaths at the hands of the women they terrorized.
How can a man cry so prettily? Those vulnerable moments of Xie Zheng and Chang Yu paired with the song in the background were just perfect. Overall, episode 18 really packed an emotional punch— I even found myself tearing up for characters I didn't like.
I am fully drawn in - this is like the mini dramas with the FL thirsty for revenge. But more sophisticated with better actors (Ma Si Chun!). I just want to watch Rao Yu Ci take down each one who wronged her!
Some have criticized the kiss scene, but I absolutely loved the whole sequence. The petty anger giving way to desperation, the heartfelt half-confession and plea, and finally the rejection and disappointment—it was all so well done. Both leads acted the emotions beautifully, and the music and lighting elevated the moment even further. The entire scene was just wow.
He’s just making excuses and trying to convince himself why he shouldn’t disrupt her life to bring her into…
You know, he's probably right - Chang Yu would have been happier had she not found out some truth about her parents and the trouble that is brewing politically. Now her live is disrupted no matter what! Still I also agree with you - YZ was just making excuses - convincing himself instead.
Hah, Yan Zheng was worried that Chang Yu cannot handle being a matron of a noble clan...I say she would be perfect! Look at how she reformed those hooligans and acting all Boss Lady in ep 15! Can't wait to watch eps 16 & 17...everyone's comments getting me excited!
I think our anxiety level will increase by a lot! ML is going to come out of hiding and openly challenge his enemies, while his enemies and FL's enemies are going to double their efforts to target her :(
I think I was more disappointed than Chang Yu when the foot-soaking ploy didn’t work 😅 I was so ready for some major flirting! Seriously though, the director really knows how to play with lighting and camera angles—the scenes with the leads look so good. And now the angst is starting, im ready for Chang Yu to roll up her sleeves and start kicking some a$$.
So the pieces are falling into place based on next week's preview. Finally, maybe Seol Ah will get some support on her side. Imagine, living your life knowing you are indirectly causing people's deaths 😢
Hah! Chang Yu's eyes shooting daggers of jealousy and yet she's willing to lend out Yan Zheng???
Loving the vibe between Qi Min and Qian Qian. Their dynamic feels like a mini drama plot in itself—where the toxic ML is obsessive about the FL, and they end up in love and together hopefully with a HE! 😄

Also, I like the Sui brothers - they've got great charisma and they are hot 😅
