First two episodes were not bad but they didn’t fully draw me in yet. Nice to see YYS in a less serious character compared to WTPR, and I like the actress playing the mother. Let’s see how the next few episodes go.
How is the rating not higher for this show? I am only up to ep 6 but I find each story enjoyable...not every one had a happy ending but they all left an impression. I also love the little connections between the characters throughout the episodes. Taiwanese dramas usually has a special charm of their own and this one is no exception.
Edit - finally finished and I liked the show and how it showed interesting perspectives on life, death, family, friends and the different ways one can love.

Agree, as twisted and cruel he is, I kind of wish Qian QIan would pretend to play nice so that she does not suffer at this point, and he at least gets some moments of "happiness" before it all comes to a bad end.
Somehow I feel that Qimin is faking having a great relationship with his brother - why wouldn't he stop Sui Yuanqing from doing such a stupid move, going to the battle like that? Also why wouldn't he reveal who Chang Ning really is to him? Feels a little shady...

I'm terrible - the usual drama watcher in me could never condone Qi Min's character and actions, but the part of me who enjoy mini dramas, am enjoying the dark toxic dynamics between him and Qian Qian. I don't expect them to have any good outcome though - just hoping Qian qian and Bao'er come out ok.
Did I miss something - how did Li Huai An start caring for Chang Yu more? I know he could just be a good person…
You’re right - it’s definitely possible to crush on someone just based on look. And over time most would find CY amazing. I’m glad he’s around to help CY and get XZ all riled up and possessive 😁
