I'm genuinely asking this but when you say the bromance fell flat, what do you mean? What sort of bromance did…
For me, strong relationships (romantic or platonic) tend to evolve—conflict, misunderstanding, understanding, growth, trust, so on and so forth. For me, the way Karasuma reacted and behaved around Kujo felt kind of one note, static and too restrained. Despite him getting to know Kujo, understanding his motivation, and supposedly cared about him, it came across like nothing meaningful was at risk when damger was closer, like there were no consequences if they fall out or lose each other. The bond didn't feel important to the story, and by extension, to me.
Ep 19 - more tears - seriously, must the screenwriter be so cruel ? I hope there will be a twist for the couple but I don't have much hope. I am confused though - spoiler question below.
This show is so addictive—the layers, the secrets, the constant emotional rollercoaster...people sacrificing themselves (ðŸ˜) to protect the Tenth Dragon.
And so many questions: Is Li Jie really Li Jie now? Is LWY truly free of Jiu Ying, or still under its control? And Ji Ling… is he pretending, or has the desire for power actually corrupted him?
I’m choosing to believe in Ji Ling—I hope he’s playing the long game for the greater good.
Decent drama to pass the time. For a mini drama, they wrapped up the loose ends nicely. Special effects define reflected the low budget. The actor playing the ML has potential - he has presence but the FL actress was not that impactful. Overall not bad if you are looking for a quick watch. I would have rated it a 7.5 but gave it an 8 because it got me interested enough to buy the express.
Ep 29 was so good and Simu looked gorgeous in her silver bedazzled bluish dress! The scenes when they both talked to themselves about each other were just lovely and I really like the OST selected for them. What a wonderful gift DX had for Simu! I cannot wait for tomorrow’s episode. Can’t believe we are down to the final stretch!
nah she's too delicate as well she looks even smaller and more frail than FL
Yeah, guaranteed we will never see a FL with a scar. There was one show where the FL character started off having a scar, and then did a face swap with of course, another actress with porcelain white smooth skin :D Sad thing was that the first character was far more compelling and attractive in a way before the swap.

Not sure - when they were facing off each other, she looked more like a warrior than CQ. Maybe because she actually looks like she’s been in battles. That’s fine- I’m not holding that against the FL. We’ve gotten plenty of female generals with porcelain smooth white skin who look like they spend their time bathing in milk instead of fighting. And I liked many of those shows. I can’t judge yet based on 4 episodes.
appreciate the drama as it comes, do not put any expectations on it for you will be disappointed better not watch…
I actually have zero expectations, since I have never watched PA and I don’t know the FL except for her role in the Perfect Match. Her character portrayal is not very convincing at this point. I do like the two MLs’ previous works so I was willing to give this a chance. I do have tropes that I dislike , especially overused ones. Luckily it seems like that is over around ep 4 so I can get on with the rest of the story :)
Now General Huan is a proper general. I’m only up to ep 3 and I’m not sure how I feel about the FL character yet. If only the show didn’t start with one of the most overused tropes, I might be less put off. Anyway, will continue to watch since I want to support the cast.
After 14 episodes, it’s an ok watch. The mysteries are so far interesting and I prefer to watch the ML and his side kick solving them. I don’t mind that there’s not much romance since the FL actress is somewhat weak and kind of forgettable.
I think he is a double agent in a way. The flashback to when Duan Xu saved him the first time, and explained that…
Wait, I don't get it -isn't she already immortal? Should he be the one to gain immortality so that they can be together? And the kid she saved, Chen Ying - as a mortal, he is able to rule over the void?
Ep 17 - Can't imagine how WSG felt watching his own creation... Then with LWY and CW, I think I stopped breathing from when she took the ring off until she put it back on. I really did not want her to betray him 😫 And between WSG and WWY - so many emotions and conflicts ðŸ˜
