I've seen Yang Kun (currently playing Chi Ying) in many roles but seeing her face through a lion's head was the last thing I expected. A little comic relief!
Up to episode 6, and I still don’t particularly like any of the main characters 😂—just like in the past seasons. But, also like before, the plot is engaging and the stories are entertaining. I like how they weave the different threads together into the main storyline. The scenes feel more dramatic and a bit over-the-top this time, but overall, it’s still good.
Poor Lu LiFeng - stuck between an ambitious mother and a suspicious emperor!
What a lovely surprise to have the remaining episodes released just in time for the weekend!
This was enjoyable watch—one that definitely asks for a bit of suspended disbelief and embraces plenty of artistic license, but it never stopped being entertaining.
The female lead is intelligent, articulate, and focused on revenge, but still manages to find time to help powerful people along the way.
I like the ML. Absolutely charming—Prettier than the FL, endlessly supportive, and quietly steady. The romance isn’t much, but the sweetness is there.
10 episodes and still hasn't changed vut she acts like a pissed off wife now whenever he's surrounded by the other…
True - but he probably thinks Ellie is totally in love with the ML. Ru Shuang now seems to be trying to get her sister to be better so maybe she is their shipper lol

They both at least appreciate the ML more! I like Ellie and how supportive she is but I don't like that there is her father applying pressure on the ML. As for Tao Ru Shuang, she definitely gets along with the ML, they both have no pretensions but I see them more as good buddies! She is falling for him though...

I know right? I don’t know why she’s so defensive. She’s the adored eldest daughter and her mother clearly values her. She’s fine with everyone else except the ML.
A little late to the party, but I’m making up for it! I’m absolutely loving this drama — does a green flag like Ming Liang really exist in real life? The gorgeous people and scenery of XinJiang, beautiful cinematography, lovely OSTs and mouth-watering food scenes make it even more enjoyable!

Satisfying end!
Thanks for the reminder about S3!
