Yeah tell me about it! The leads are killing it with their longing looks and skinship. I just want to see them give in completely and finally be together!
Ah, the show is doing the slow reveal, letting Lin Yan finding out the truth bit by bit, with Shen Shao Guang being heartbroken and trying to get past her feeling… this is torturous. I hope there’s a breakthrough in the next episodes especially with preview of ep 25. However even if I want progress between the two, I don’t want Shaoguang to be the one chasing Lin Yan, even if the engagement story is a ploy to make her cave in and admit her feelings, It’s hard to explain.
The main couple and the second couple have completely charmed me. All four of them served face cards and entertainment in their own wonderful ways.
Endearing, dorkily adorable, and sweetly awkward, Yoshine Kyoko and Honda Kyoya brought their characters to life so beautifully. It was genuinely heartwarming to watch their relationship blossom—to see how they learned to understand each other, grew closer, and slowly wove their lives together. Every slice-of-life moment between them felt like a gentle hug, always managing to put a smile on my face. Their romance was wholesome and wonderfully fluffy.
Despite their inexperience and discomfort, there was such sincerity in how they bumbled through their marriage. I especially loved how they communicated so openly, leaving little room for unnecessary drama or prolonged misunderstandings. Every small step they took together felt like something worth cheering for, and even the tiniest moments of skinship made my heart flutter because they were momentous for the couple.
Meanwhile, Fumiko and Fukami, the second couple, were mature and sophisticated, with just the right touch of wit and sarcasm between them. Though their relationship wasn’t given as much screen time, I loved how their romance unfolded bit by bit, until it became clear that they had truly fallen for each other.
This drama made me grin more times than I can count. It’s the kind of show you want to savor slowly—like a warm cup of tea—letting it calm you, soothe your soul, and leave you wrapped in a soft, happy feeling.
Not too bad. The romance was lukewarm. OK for a quick watch but I think you have to watch all 3 seasons for a complete story. I am not intrigued enough to finish S2 and S3.
This one was a good watch but didn’t hit the spot for me. I was hoping for a better sweeter romance but the ML was quite self-absorbed. In the end, I almost wanted the FL to reject him and have grovel because he just didn’t treat her like he was in love with her. Other than the lack luster romance, it was entertaining to see the ML maneuver around the dirty tricks of the bad guys and end up impressing even the Emperor. Overall, one of the better shows if you are not so interested in the romance part.
This was such a great show! The action scenes were so well done, and the final fight between the good and bad sides was pretty good too.
In the end, the story really came down to the women. Xia Jing Shi, Xia Jing Yan, and Feng Suige - everything they did in the end was tied to a woman in one way or another.
The romances were compelling — both the deep connection between the leads and the toxic mess between the second couple.
But what I loved most was the revenge. Whether hero or villain, everyone took care of the people who wronged them, and it felt so satisfying to watch it play out.
I do wish Chengyang had a happier ending. But at least he had two powerful siblings who truly cared for him, and that made it a little less sad.
The parallels between Chengyang and Xingyan when it comes to their mothers are striking. In their own ways, both had their lives ruined by the very women who claimed to act “for their own good.” I love how they each ultimately stood up for themselves.

She turned just as bad as XJS and XJY, but why does she deserve a different ending?
I feel more for XJY 😢
