That’s true! I have seen him emote so well when paired with Dilraba in the Blue Whisper and with Seven Tan in Under The Power. In this show, he lacks the intensity and interest…which is too bad. At this point, I almost want the ML to give his energy core and give his blessing to the FL and SML before peacefully dying as a normal human being

More than halfway through and I am still invested in this show. Not in the romance though.
I like Ren Jua Lun and his ML character but to me, there is more chemistry between DD, the FL and Gu Bei Xi, the SML. Somehow Li Qin and RJL don’t click for me. Even visually despite them being good-looking.
Regardless, I want to see how the plot ends.

I am watching the 2016 version now and I can’t help but compare. This version is so much better!

I enjoyed the first 2 episodes. The plot is intriguing so far and I like the leads including the SML so far.

Ikr, Chai Jie is such a great character and how she confessed in a roundabout way was awesome!

Totally enjoying this show that does not take itself seriously but balances comedy and suspense well! Was not expecting the plot twists and I like how the writers troll us viewers 😆
And I knew the couple could deliver a great kiss 👍 All that chemistry in Bossam and now this show 👏

Same here! For me, it won’t feel like a rushed ending for our main couple because the relationship has been solid this whole time. I just want the FL to confess to the ML and I will be happy 😃

I am enjoying it - for me it’s a nice slice of life drama set in a village. I would say that it is more character-driven than plot driven. The focus is of course on the main couple’s interactions and build up to their relationship but the show also features scenes of country living.
I don’t find the second leads that annoying. The SML is behaving like a normal person, avoiding what he does not want to hear but at least he has not crossed boundaries. The SFL is more annoying mainly because she refuses to accept the ML’s decision even after he has been so clear with her. She also does cross the line.
Only 3 episodes left but I don’t feel that there will be a rushed relationship. Let’s hope I won’t be disappointed 🤞

I agree - I like the pacing and in fact I think it’s gotten to the point that both leads do want to give it a try, especially the ML… he’s practically confessed how the FL made him feel in the storeroom…

Still I enjoy the characters, the romance, the silly comedy and all the CPs! The third pair that just got together 🥰 they are cute too!
