Ep 10 - love it but also feeling frustrated…

I just noticed that in ep 10, Nat was wearing the same dress as Nus (the FL) in episode 12 of Samee Ngern Phon ;D

Ep 11 - finally the leads stand up for themselves but too bad, they are dealing with delusional people who cannot accept reality

Wow, the dramas are very misleading. Here I am thinking that once a woman sleeps with a man, she has some right to call herself his wife and can disrupt the whole family structure...Although in some of the more modern lakorns where we have smarter leads, that story line doesn't follow the usual trope

Ah, thank you for the clarification. I always thought that since it was featured so much in the lakorns that it was an acceptable custom to have more than one wife. I didn't know that it was actually illegal to have multiple wives.

Ep 10 - If it wasn't for the rest of the stupid mother's debts, I would have told Wat to give up on the house, and walk away from it all...

Yeah, the other more modern lakorns have better leads where they don't blindly follow the "gotta respect your elders" culture. As for not walking away from Som, I totally agree. I am so tired of such MLs where they are supposedly too gentlemanly to stop the clingy women

It's a slow build up but one that was developed nicely. Had some lovely indirect confessions by both sides that can only bind the two closer

Urgh, I want Im Soo Man dead by season 1 but it would have been awesome if he confessed the wrong-doings of the second state councilor first!

You're right. I was wondering about her and thinking that maybe in the Thai culture, the wives often don't speak up because the husband can take on multiple wives so easily. So these mothers often don't speak up because they are so replaceable. I don't condone it but perhaps that's a reason for such tolerance.

I just caught up to ep 8 - I get that Som is just oblivious to the fact that she has been friendzoned but I wish Lakorns would also stop giving us MLs who cannot do anything more than just say no. Actions speak louder, guys! You don’t have to let her hold your arms or hands if you don’t want to. If you don’t want her to mislead anyone, speak up!

Watched up to ep 5 and I think the parents are the worst. Chaya’s and Wat’s mothers as well as Nus’ father 😡 can someone please spoil me? When do Wat and Nus get married?

I enjoyed this show because it had a good mix of suspense, thriller, action, romance, and drama but what really got me hooked was the love story between the main leads, Prince Keerich and Nuannueakaew. It was a slower burn, tension-filled, sort of self-imposed forbidden love for which Sean Jindachot and Baifern Luevisadpaibul had the perfect chemistry.

The production and the special effects were not the best, and the dialogue and story were not as tight. However, for a lightweight lakorn that featured a supernatural element, I found it entertaining. One just has to suspend disbelief and watch the story unfold without taking it too seriously.

Usually I would be put off by the noble idiocy trope but not for this show since the romance was developed nicely. Our main leads had to experience personal trials, physical dangers, and all manner of other terrors to earn their happily ever after and I wouldn't have it any other way.
