I can tell that people who call his character a bitch and a coward are bullies in real life and iam seriously…
Like they would be cool and collected if they were in the same situation.

anyone have idea if it will be available on netflix or some other platform?
Pretty sure it won't be on Netflix since it's a Coupang Play original and Netflix is their direct competitor.

haha why is Kim Soo Hyun's characters named Kim Hyun Soo, it's basically his name just backwards lol ^^
I think they want give the ML a very ordinary name. That's a very common name in South Korea.

why does not he get more main roles?
Kim Soo Hyun is a top actor in South Korea and known to be very selective of his work. He will pick his next project when the right script comes along.

A big congratulations to the IOTNBO team! Whether they win or not, it's already a great achievement to be one of the finalist chosen by nearly 1000 industry professionals worldwide.

Was he in the military from 2015-2017? I don’t know why he wasn’t in a drama for 4 years and only did one…
He did Producers in 2015 and Real in 2016; served in the military from 2017-2019.

I just found it super boring.

Yup, each to their own. Nothing is going to please everybody, I've dropped plenty of super hyped shows this year including Hospital Playlist, Crash Landing, etc.

Agreed. Those who loved it, aka the "real" community left positive comments, rated it highly and moved on. Now, there are more negative comments because there are people curious about the high rating and more likely to voice their criticism when they don't agree.

IOTNBO's main theme is not about mental health, but about healing and overcoming your past trauma.
Fair enough, not everything will resonate with everyone the same way. We all have our preferences, but I simply can’t watch the former because I have a strong aversion to the FL as an actress.

Yes, that’s why I said “main theme” is about healing and that’s what the focus of the drama is about, which it stayed true to from beginning to end. The mental health part is just the back drop and setting. The actors themselves promoted it as a healing drama and even Netflix’s synopsis is about healing “ Desperate to escape from his emotional baggage and the heavy responsibility he’s had all his life, a psychiatric ward worker begins to heal with help from the unexpected—a woman who writes fairy tales but doesn’t believe in them.”

Um, all the factors you listed contribute to making something a hit. You can apply that to any popular movie or…
To me, all these factors make up a good drama. Yes, there were flaws and plot holes but the story is pretty solid with good character development. Add in the talented cast, amazing cinematography, beautiful OSTs and you have a top quality drama. The script has some very memorable lines and lessons which would make it a pretty compelling story to read as a book. Just like how the story books in the drama are currently top sellers in the fairy tale book section. I do not doubt there are high quality, low budget films out there, just like there are hole in the wall restaurants with great food. For some of us, great food alone is not enough, we want good ambiance, beautiful setting, and excellent customer service too.

Um, all the factors you listed contribute to making something a hit. You can apply that to any popular movie or drama. Even a movie as hugely popular as Titanic would be left lackluster without the cast, big budget cinematography and music.

Very good drama. Tho I'm a bit disappointed cuz this wasn't the kim so hyun grand return that I was expecting
It was everything I wanted in KSH's comeback and more. I'm glad he didn't go with a big name script writer or blockbuster for the hype. Instead he choose a quality script with high production value and worked with an amazing cast. Very happy to have discovered Oh Jung Se and Seo Ye Ji through this drama. Even the supporting cast with limited screen time was amazing and makes you root for them, like Jae Soo and Sung In.
