This was one romance where the love triangle was extra unnecessary. There was already enough coming between them.…
Nice to see you again! And definitely agree with you here! Wished they followed JKY’s other drama “My Roommate is a Gumiho” where the FL was best friends with the SML and completely platonic… guess they just wanted to add some angst for the leads 🤷🏻♀️
I'm not sure you understand what a plot is, because it's not the same as a synopsis or a trailer, it's the driving…
Let me try to explain myself a lot more clearly because it seems that there's still some misunderstandings, what I mean that body swapping as the main point of the drama because it's written in the synopsis says and I quote "tells the story of the soul exchange between a prince who has lost his smile and a saddle-carrying merchant who has lost her memory". And you said I don’t understand what a plot means? That's funny, because I clearly remember that in the beginning scene of the drama, it showed us about the "red string theory" AND THAT is start of the plot. We were informed later on from what it seems like a Higher Spirit (old man with grey hair and white clothes) guarding the red string tree, said that the body swap is a punishment (cmiiw) from having the red string intertwined again after it being severed. Therefore, the body swap is meant to create a closer connection between the CP so that they can understand each others' hardships. Maybe for now it might not be as important to connect to the other plots but since the preview had shown another body swap then probably there will be a reason for it to exist to drive the other plots. Indeed, your statement on how there are points such as revenge for the Crown Princess, defeating the Left State Councillor, and so on — it is basically all plot points and so is the body swap. You also mentioned it is the "external plot goal" and I agree because in the end we expect the revenge is complete and Park Dal will be renounced as the Crown Princess again, but yes it is external which means there are internal plots such as the body swap. If hypothetically speaking, there are no more explanations or lore in the future episodes on why the body swap is happening/had happened plus without helping or connecting to the "external plot goal", then I will agree with you that it would be useless. However, until now, it shows that the body swap may have its purpose to be used as I would rephrase one of the main points (I mistakenly wrote it just as the main point).
I hope this somehow answers your questions as a whole. P.S. I also love Alchemy of Souls and this drama reminded me a bit of it. You have great taste ;)
Not trying to be mean but the people saying the body swap/soul exchange is not necessary and is ruining the plot... can we like take a moment to understand that it was the one of the main points? It is literally mentioned and shown in: - the synopsis - the trailer - all the promotion clips from MBC (official channel) & other sites - the actors themselves explaining about the drama synopsis Understandable if you are here to state your opinions but if it's just to complain about that then I'm not sure you understand the point of this drama
man that marketing team deputy was so annoying, why was she so insistent on getting YMR to pay for the dinner...…
also I have a bad feeling that when there are sweet moments in the beginning of the drama, sh!t's about go down in the later episodes... I've seen a little too many cliches like that 😭
man that marketing team deputy was so annoying, why was she so insistent on getting YMR to pay for the dinner... even wanting to make her get even more drunk???
This is one of the first times I felt that a drama is able to hide or not leak pictures of their ending... they are basically keeping us hanging until the end 🫠 Can 12 hours come faster please 😅
Anyone know if their Hello Saturday ep online yet?
It will be uploaded on YouTube on Monday but usually the english subtitles appear on Tuesday, unless you have the VIP membership on MangoTV then you can watch it in their website 👍🏻
If someone ask me whos my fav character in this drama.. IM GONNA SAY THAT ITS CUICUI 🎍. Like hes so cute. I…
His character just reminds me of groot hahah... everybody loves cuicui like how everybody loves groot!😆 And coincidentally they are both plants/trees too!
Did taesung also lose the memory of them dating and possibly him liking her ?? How so ?
This all happened because Sol possibly avoided all the things and scenarios that were bound to happen with Sunjae, which also meant she supposedly didn’t interact with Taesung to avoid getting involved with anyone that had interactions with Sunjae (cause Inhyuk is friends with Taesung in high school and ofc Inhyuk is close to Sunjae). I hope that clears your confusion.
if you mean it as a low budget show, I don’t think so? cause most Netflix originals are pretty high budgeted, but if you mean the plot/story, it could be either a hit or miss depending how they continue the pace of the show? so understandable 👌🏻
Getting a little traumatised from all the plot twists in QOT since it's making me worried here cause it's tvN and idk what other stuff are they plotting. But I hope the parallels between the original timeline and the current timeline isn’t something too scary because I'm sensing some suspicions knowing that the so-called kidnapper is apparently arrested which happened it was 14 years ago and not 15 years ago. AND where the hell is Taesung cause it's also making it seem like something did happen after Im Sol was kidnapped and after she went back to the future. AAAAA I hope they don’t pull any weird sh*t.
did sol date taesung in the original timeline as well or did he only fall for her 34 yo self in the past?
I'm assuming Sol didn’t date Taesung in the original timeline cause the reason Sol was able to back to the present was because Taesung said "I like you" to Sol which means it wasn’t in the original timeline where Taesung confessed to her. Also Taesung did like the 34 yo version of Sol not the 19 yo version Sol cause Taesung mentioned how he found the 34 yo version Sol cute cause of how different she is from 19 yo Sol.
I hope this somehow answers your questions as a whole.
