I question the feelings, honestly they don't seem genuine at all compared to dosan. And he confesses his love while stirring noodles, very weird. Dosan's parents are the reason so many young kids have no self esteem, and the reason these type of parents exist is so that they can brag to other parents how great their kid is. The kids are nothing but trophies for the parents to parade around. JP doesn't care about dosan, nor does he genuinely love dalmi. I think he is more interested in how to get more shares of dosan's company, that is why he is asking so many questions.
And here is my take. As sad as jp's backstory is, everything that has happened to him is just a result of karma. He abandoned grandma and dalmi when they needed him the most, after the father dies. Then he ignores dalmi and grandma until he sees that dalmi has grown up to be a beautiful girl, and he suddenly gets interested. He doesn't think about anyone but himself, and only helps to look like a hero in front of dalmi.
Dosan has been suffering for 15 years, and deserves all the good things happening to him. He has to grow up with tyrant parents who don't love him, but only love his accomplishments. The dad of dosan especially just wants to use his son's accomplishment so he can brag, he is a bad person.

Plus, the way he shows romance in pretty much most of his TV series, is all very similar. And I don't think that's the fault of the director, writer, or the producer. After a while, the blame on his repetitive acting has to fall on lee min ho at some point.
Look at some great actors, Lee Byung Hun comes to mind. And watch him in various TV Shows and Movies, and you'll see his acting range, on the different roles he can play, and when your watching him in a new show, you forget about his previous roles, because he is that good. Same for Kim Soo Hyun, who really has a very varied resume, and is really an amazing actor. I mean, just compare Secretly Greatly with his new shows It's OK not to be OK. It's like two different people. With lee min ho, it's really more of the same actor, just wearing different clothing, saying different line. He is only most convincing when he's playing some pompous rich persona, which I actually think is his strongest point.
