Not sure about that, seems like most people posting negative reviews or comments backed it up with a reason why.

They didn't just say, I hated it for no reason.

So you have your reasons for liking it, and they have theirs, which ironically included the things you loved, which are Pacing, Editing, Chemistry, Direction and Story. But at least most people seem to agree that WDH and the OST are good. But those things for me at least won't propel the show to masterpiece status.

ugh, your making me do work LOL. This is the only time i'll do this.

First a definition of prime numbers from wikipedia.

A prime number (or a prime) is a natural number greater than 1 that is not a product of two smaller natural numbers.

According to Netflix translation. Time is multiplying the square root by the prime number.

He starts his calculation with the second time the time freezes. He admits he missed the first time. the second time is 121 seconds.

So let us go with the first 10 prime numbers.

2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29

These numbers also correspond the number of times that time freezes.

so...
2=1st
3 = 2nd
5 = 3rd and etc...

So he misses the first, but since we know that the second is 121 seconds, we can calculate backwards.

Sq root of 3 is 1.732. 121/1.732 = 69,86 (how long time stopped the first time.

Ok so far so good.

Next number in the sequence should be 121 x sq rt of 5 (2.236) = 270. So how does the 3rd time according to lee gon become 160s part of the number is blocked but it's 160 something?

841 is the 6th time freeze. so 7th time corresponds to sq rt of 17 so 841 x sq rt of 17 ( 4.123) = 3,467 seconds, yet on the board he has written something like 961, which when you listen to his dialogue is implied to be the 4th time freeze.

If you continue down the line of numbers he writes on the chalk board, none of it makes sense. I even tried some other calculations, and even assumed other things like the prime number being a set number, and yet I could not coincide the numbers with any logic. This was when I realize the show treated Math like a joke.

I mean sure, it sounds dramatic to say, at the 62nd time, time will stop for a day. But if you actually did the math properly, you would see at the 62nd time, time stops for something crazy like 15 years or something.

I mean, the show probably didn't expect people to check the math, but it definitely does not add up. Plot hole I guess.

If you have a logical mathematical explanation to explain what he has written on the chalkboard, be my guess. I am all ears. Or should we just ignore it, since you know it's a fantasy genre?

But hey, if you enjoy this masterpiece of a show, even with all these technical and glaring plot holes, more power to you!

Living in a homogeneous society doesn't excuse this kind of behavior. Especially for someone who not only is watching that particular culture's shows, but has access to the internet, where they are exposed to a myriad of different culture.

If you live in some ancient, long forgotten tribe, that has zero access to technology, and have never seen not even one foreigner. Then sure, that would make sense.

Asia in general can be quite racist, not just to other cultures, but also within their own society, dark skinned vs light skinned Asians. But for a majority of them, they normally don't care, or go to the extent of BLM. Also there is a huge amount of prejudice in terms of social status and wealth as well, at least Kdrama got this part right.

Trying to say that not being able to distinguish race is a funny thing is a slippery slope. Even if we don't understand a particular culture or not exposed to it, it doesn't mean we can be ignorant about it. In 2020, we should strive to be accepting of all culture, and not judge or ridicule the customs we don't know, even if it clashes with our own personal perceptions. The ideology that it is ok to think all koreans look alike or all black athletes look alike stands on a very slippery slope to outright racism.

If I used your logic, then people should have no problem when I make the following statements.

"Oh all black people have bulbous noses"

"Oh, all black athletes look the same, same hair, same face"

"Oh, all Mexicans have brown skin"

"Oh, the religion of all Indians are hinduism"

"Oh, how come all you malay people are short"

So these statements are not racist right? Since, i belong to multi-cultural society, which obviously represents the broad spectrum of all races.

And your aware, those youtube videos are there for clicks right? So obviously, if the videos have no shock factor, people would not bother watching.

You said, you live in a mostly white eastern European country. Just because you don't or meet black people, doesn't mean that if you make a racist statement against black people, they will give you a free pass, since, as you said, you don't meet many black people. That's not how the world work, and it shouldn't work this way.

I think in our current times, even if you don't see something as racist, if the other person says it is, maybe you should take note of that.

Yeah, I am not a fan of comically evil characters. I've always liked grey characters that had multiple interpretations. Like at this point, I find it hard to even find much redeeming qualities with YJ to root for. I can see your point about facial shapes as well.

They do look good, and I think the acting is on point, I especially loved the past few episodes. Also hoping for a great finish.

Honestly, I liked it so far. I didn't think it was as bad as people said. I think the controversies of the show, which I didn't mind, soured a lot of people's opinion of the show.

Also a lot of people seem to not like YYJ, which is understandable, but not far from realistic. I think this kind of toxic relationship can exist and persist for a while in the real world.

The age gap wasn't an issue for me, as both ML and FL seem quite immature anyway. I'm personally hoping to see a time skip and some time apart from the two leads, that will eventually result in seeing them both being mature and willing to enter into a proper relationship. And during this time skip we see SB luck change for the better. A relationship right now seems a bit undeserving and rushed, so some maturing would be nice for both leads.

But he says, he cant be racist since he watches kdrama and eats korean food...

I am pretty sure if i say all black sports athletes look the same. I would never hear the end of it from blm. No matter how innocent my intention.

Wow, if you really can't see why that statement is racist, I am not going to bother further explaining, as I don't think you'll ever get it.

And like i've said, just because you consume a certain countries culture, doesn't mean your not racist. They don't necessarily go hand in hand. You can like korean food, but subconsciously dislike the race. Your not the first person to have this distorted view, and you won't be the last unfortunately.

You said people who think all korean looks alike (like me), which means you share this distorted view. And yes, thinking all koreans look alike is very racist, not matter how you attempt to spin it. It's not just me, a lot of people share my views on this particular statement.

I just want you to retract your statement of all koreans look alike, and i'll stop as well. I'm tired of all this prejudice against Asians.

Your right, I don't know who you are. But I can certainly condemn racist words and thinking when I see them.

Why not just accept that stating all Koreans looks alike is a racist statement and is not acceptable regardless of where you live. So you don't live in the US, you can be make statements like this? Just because the town you live in has 20 nationalities, doesn't mean your not prejudice, once again a poor logic. Why you continue to defend your right to make statements like this baffles the heck out of me. Just accept it's racist, regardless of what your background or where you live.

Unless you have Prosopagnosia like the main lead in Beauty Inside, you have no excuse to continue thinking this way, its ignorant. If you have this rare medical condition, then I apologize and understand. But if not, stop the ignorance, it's 2020 and people need to be accepting of other people's culture.

Do you know, when you tell a korean, japanese, black people and etc... that "LOL, you all look alike!", not many will say, oh that's funny. Most people will find this statement racist. Maybe we should all stop wearing makeup so you can recognize us Asians. Poor you, too much makeup making us Asian unrecognizable.

Lol, the grand dad? no way, that's not even possible, grand dad is dead.

Lakehouse is based on time travel. Even if it's using the mailbox, it's still time travel, which is my point, from episode 1, most people already knew it was some sort of time travel show. So the big reveal was underwhelming.

Maybe you were surprised, but I wasn't. Maybe i'm a sharper watcher and paid more attention to the clues then. But that other guy posting above says all people who disliked the king must be dumb. So i'm a bit confused am I sharp or dumb.

So using your logic. You must give all fantasy kdrama 10/10. Since all the plot holes can just be explained by "let your imagination soar!" That's a nice viewpoint.

go back to the episodes with the math, you'll see that they are wrong. I forget which episodes he starts calculating things on the chalk board. And also check out the definition of prime numbers to see how wrong his math is.

Well, if the show is so smart, and well written, you must have no problem explaining these plot holes then. If you use the word magic or use your imagination to explain the plot holes, i'm going to have to respectfully laugh.

People can feel the magic if they want. and they can choose the ignore the negative aspects of the show if they want. It's their choice. Just like people are free to nitpick every single thing, and absolutely loathe the show.

1. LOL, really? it's such a minor thing.

2. Yeah this is weird, it's never explained properly either, just another plot hole I guess.

3. Like I said, if we are thinking logically, the science and math was wrong, but I guess if we think illogically, then we have the king's version of time freezes. Literally none of the math lined up.

4. He is essentially a deus ex machina, a favorite of the writer. Similar to the god in Goblin. Just basically a big giant undeserved plot device. It felt very underwhelming.

5. It didn't make sense at all, since the lines of succession were never explained, but i'm pretty sure a cousin would have precedence over a bastard like lee lim. Heck even if lee gon died, buyoung would be next in line, or his children. Like. there was no logical way for lee lim to be king.

6. I found lady noh super annoying, and one of the reasons I disliked the show, her character was majorly inconsistent and a huge hypocrite.

7. Yeah the scar and etc... logic is screwy. I didn't bother thinking too much about this because shinjae is a huge plot hole in this theory. And they never patched up this plot hole in the end either.

8. No, time freezing whenever someone crosses is supposed to be an absolute rule, but there is just inconsistencies with their own rules, and they end up breaking from the rules and doing something else in the end. And like I said, don't bother thinking about the math in this show, the math is incorrectly calculated and flawed.

9. there was no indication really. At this time it actually seemed that leegon was looking for lee rim, thus he had his army with him. He also had no way to know taeul was in danger, but you know plot hole. When time froze, leegon knew someone had crossed over, and it's only with the phone call it was confirmed taeul was in Corea.

10. I think your overthinking this part.

11. I think it was pretty obvious in ep 1, that it was lee min ho at the start. Have you watched City hunter? Most people guessed this correctly from the get go. And the ones who didn't thought it was weird, that people thought the savior was taeul when the physique of the masked person was a man. Also the date on the ID made it clear it was a time travel story from Ep. 1.

12. Then it's poor editing, as this is not how the scene flowed. In the end it just ends up being a huge plot hole for most people. Plus, timeline wise it doesn't make sense, like I can't logically fathom how what you said would happen. There would not be enough time. Also because if leegon decided to do all that, how did he enter the past in the first place when the flute was still in korea, you need both for it to work. You just added more plot holes with your explanation fyi. I'd rather not think too hard on it.

so if 10/10 is 96% then 1/10 is 4% which is close to unwatchable.

I can say the same thing, a movie that is 96% must be completely, or almost completely perfect, which means, there shouldn't be so many things that can be nitpicked. And judging from the comments, and reviews, people have written essays on all the things that can be wrong, which doesn't reflect the 96% you are touting.

Decent acting,and good OST does not equal 10/10. There are more aspects like pacing, editing, chemistry and etc.. that is factored in.

I never give 10/10 because of the logic that nothing is perfect. But if your wiling to accept a world where 10/10 exist, you should also be able to accept the opposite extreme of 1/10 don't you logically think? Because logically, how can you accept absolute white, but ignore the existence of absolute black? You can't say pure white exist, but black doesn't exist. Or that you accept such a thing as pure evil, but don't believe there is such a thing as pure good. That's not how the world works.

Me neither, I normally don't let service or even ambiance affect my dining experience, but if you've been on yelp, tons of people let those little things affect their dining experience. So i'm not surprised if people let ads affect their viewing experience. But like I said, ads are not the only reason for poor reviews.

1. I usually don't pay attention to these things, a lot of shows, western and eastern have problems with continuity and often get's blasted by fans for it.

2. I don't remember this at all. What time stamp is this?

3. Yeah, don't even bother with the math of this. If you go to the scene where he is writing down the numbers on the chalkboard, and do the math, the numbers come out wrong. i don't know why they would introduce math to the show, and not even follow it. The whole time will stop in the 62nd time is just really for dramatic effect than anything, and they pretty much never revisited it in the end of the show. Even a mention of it in the latter episodes would have been nice, but nada.

4. The mystery of yoyo boy, and it's eventual explanation was a huge let down for me. It was clearly early on he was tied to fate, thus the red string and the yoyo. But fate is not suppose to meddle, and the fact he fixes everything in the end is a let down. And I was kind of hoping he was something more significant.

5. Yeah I got this from the start, it never made sense why some people thought he was trying to be king of Corea, that never seem liked the plan to me. The writing and series of events pointed to that direction, but the dialogue and logic didn't. Which in the end showed.

6. I usually ignore songs/poetry in shows, as the deeper meaning are usually just used as symbolism/metaphors, which I don't need to understand to enjoy the show.

7. This was pretty clear in the earlier episodes, not a real mystery.

8. Also, not really hard to understand, it was clearly shown.

9. Not much of a mystery here. He actually finds out because of her call to 911 more than anything.

10. Yeah the logic on these events were weird, and have been discussed. It wasn't very clear here, so you just accept what the writer wrote, because using logic wouldn't get you to the same sequence of event.

11. Ok, this is not exactly a brain scrunching moment.

12. Yeah, this one will forever remain a mystery. It was never explained, seems like bad editing to me.
