So many wtf and LOL moments, but it was entertaining. I don't how many times this girl kept losing the jade. Second lead was cool, but kind of annoying. I felt bad for him most episodes, then on others I was like...omg dude, just leave her alone and be her platonic friend. Geez.
The story made no sense but it was a fun little drama. Female lead is so cute. The subs are shit on WETV though, since they were AI generated. No break ups, love triangles or misunderstandings. (Well maybe at the beginning but it was small). It was just an easy rom com to burn 1hr & a half. LOL also, ML is secretly a puppy!!!!!! Not literally, his personality is puppy like.
It wasn't bad, but they talked way too much during the second half and it got draggy. They ruined Li Ge Yang's character. OMG, I was not expecting that left turn with him. It was funny, low budget and the skinship was nice. Lots of plot holes too. The episodes are short, so you can pretty much fly through it in two days.
I'm at episode 30 and I can't go on anymore. This drama doesn't need to go on this long. The leads have no chemistry, the sister and her best friend were annoying as fuck and the sister's husband is the dumbest and most useless psychologist I've ever come across. His wife is a literal walking red flag that needs help and his dumb ass just kept encouraging her behavior. The second couple were boring and if this was made in Taiwan, ML's secretary and FL's work colleague would've been the BL couple for this show. But they were already living together and doing couple things, so China was giving little breadcrumbs of their relationship. The story is draggy as hell, BUT I loved the FL. She was strong and capable and always a step ahead of these idiots, but if it weren't for the draggy story or the sister, I maybe would've finished it. Also, you would think for this being the ML's first relationship AT SAY, 35 and them being GROWN ASS ADULTS, they wouldn't be acting like little preteens when it comes to PDA. The skinship was lacking and the kisses were meh. When I first got into it, I was finally hoping for a mature romance, but nah.
Don't bother with this one.
EDIT: Got dammit, I decided to finish it. But I still stand by what I said above.
When I first watched this drama, I thought it was so good. I don't know if it's because I was so blinded by Kim Tae Hwan or what, but I know I enjoyed it. Watching it again today, this drama was just so painfully slow and all over the place. But it was still funny and I still enjoyed Janice Wu's character, but man the other supporting casts were so annoying. This was my first intro to Chinese dramas and I know if I have had more experience back then, I would've dropped this by episode 10.
LOL because of his baby face, Hwang In Youp stays trapped playing a high school or university student. My man's 31. Let him graduate. Please. Gonna be weird as hell when they finally decide to let him be a teacher/lawyer/CEO, something.
The casting director lucked out on all these bilingual cuties, especially Vegas. They did me dirty by casting…
Wait. Are they still going to do the "Let's forget Pete at Vegas house" plot? Because it seems like they're pretty much diverting from the book. Not that I'm complaining.
The casting director lucked out on all these bilingual cuties, especially Vegas. They did me dirty by casting Big as an adorable Copter lookalike. First episode was kinda choppy, but once you get into the show, you get hooked. Also, Tong was BORN to play Tankhun. I love how he's bringing my favorite character to life.
Lmaooo!! There is a scene in this speical episode where Miles had to play Porsche and Apo had to play Chay and when they were acting it out, I couldn't get into it because they have way too much sexual chemistry to play brothers. 🤣
Great drama. It was so funny and has one of the most satisfying endings ever. I want to be friends with Zhou Chan. He takes the piss out of people during the day, but is just a lovesick, emotionally stunted man child behind the scenes. I also enjoyed that they broke up the couples early and got them back to together, so we got to enjoy their lives throughout the dramas. If you want a fun drama with healthy main and second lead relationships, I recommend this one. No second breakups at the end, no misunderstandings, no love triangles. Just two bros with their better halves, a cat and a dog. The chemistry between the two couples were everything too. There are some skippable moments if you're not interested in what goes on behind the scenes of making books, at a publisher house. The only thing that sucked was that the female lead has the worse voice. I really hope it was dubbed and she doesn't really sound like that in real life. She sounded like a witch with a baby voice changer and she had the most annoying laugh and scream. OMG, it was like nails on a chalkboard for me.
I wonder if they'll be a chance to redeem Ma Ri in these 14 episodes, or will we stay forever hating her in this version, because that would suck since Ma Ri/ Petra became a fan favorite.
Li Ge Yang's character. OMG, I was not expecting that left turn with him. It was funny, low budget and the skinship was nice. Lots of plot holes too. The episodes are short, so you can pretty much fly through it in two days.
