The casting director lucked out on all these bilingual cuties, especially Vegas. They did me dirty by casting Big as an adorable Copter lookalike. First episode was kinda choppy, but once you get into the show, you get hooked. Also, Tong was BORN to play Tankhun. I love how he's bringing my favorite character to life.
Lmaooo!! There is a scene in this speical episode where Miles had to play Porsche and Apo had to play Chay and when they were acting it out, I couldn't get into it because they have way too much sexual chemistry to play brothers. 🤣
Great drama. It was so funny and has one of the most satisfying endings ever. I want to be friends with Zhou Chan. He takes the piss out of people during the day, but is just a lovesick, emotionally stunted man child behind the scenes. I also enjoyed that they broke up the couples early and got them back to together, so we got to enjoy their lives throughout the dramas. If you want a fun drama with healthy main and second lead relationships, I recommend this one. No second breakups at the end, no misunderstandings, no love triangles. Just two bros with their better halves, a cat and a dog. The chemistry between the two couples were everything too. There are some skippable moments if you're not interested in what goes on behind the scenes of making books, at a publisher house. The only thing that sucked was that the female lead has the worse voice. I really hope it was dubbed and she doesn't really sound like that in real life. She sounded like a witch with a baby voice changer and she had the most annoying laugh and scream. OMG, it was like nails on a chalkboard for me.
I wonder if they'll be a chance to redeem Ma Ri in these 14 episodes, or will we stay forever hating her in this version, because that would suck since Ma Ri/ Petra became a fan favorite.
Cha In HaðŸ˜. The acting world lost this terrific actor with the most beautiful smile. There was this one scene where his character was in despair and lost all hope and his gf said to him, "to me you're the best." I just hope he heard that for once during his real life. R.I.P.

The versions with Joe and Darren are still my favorite and the female lead from the Japanese version is still my favorite one. I don't know what woman would continue to pine after a guy that continuously puts her down and demean her and I don't know what guy would go for a woman that can't even boil water. But whatever. Ah Chin is still the superior choice and I'm glad they made him better looking than the male lead here, because the male lead can definitely go suck on lead.
This drama had such a great start but after episode 28, it just went to shit and I got bored. The love rivals were the worst and pathetic,( one didn't realize they were getting conned until much later, the other's antics just kept bringing the leads together) the big villain was even worse. The best thing about this drama was the second couple. I loved their interactions and they kept the show going with their bickering and comedic antics. They were honestly the best support team you could've had for the leads.
I lost interest in the leads by 27. BUT if you like unproblematic couples then yes, they were a great couple. They really needed to fire the stylist for the female lead because from her hair down to her outfits were ugly and they never changed her style.
Since the mechanical heart had healed the damage that prevented him from getting a real heart in the beginning, I don't understand why these fools didn't think to get a real heart in the 10 years. Then the whole plot about the accident with the parents got left by the wayside until the last couple of episodes. I felt cheated, honestly. This was like winning a free meal at your favorite restaurant that you've been excited to try for weeks only to find out when the food arrives, it's bland AF. Allen Ren and Rui Lin were both adorable as hell though.
This is still single handedly the most annoying love story ever made. Even though this version was 100 times better than the Korean version and slightly better than the Japanese, I still can't bring myself to root for this relationship or the leads. Their push and pull with each other is just so exhausting and then this was FIFTY freaking episodes of watching these two shit heads bicker, get together, break up and start the process over again. Sigh, anyways the sister is still awesome, the head housekeeper is still awesome, F4 friendship is still the best thing about this show, the female lead mom was SO much better here than she was in the other versions and I'm glad they didn't include the annoying little brother here. Then this version had so many filler episodes, it just dragged from 30 until the end. I did a lot of skipping since for the most part, it was the same like the other version. Male lead's Mom was a downright witch and scary as hell in this one. I'm glad the bullying and harassment were cut down to a bare minimum and I love that the male lead was head over heals in love with her from the beginning. Dylan Wang did his thing and owned the male lead. He embodied his character. I didn't catch second lead syndrome because honestly, the guy did nothing but eat, sleep and played an instrument. He was just background noise by episode 20 to me. I love Shen Yue, but she still looks like she's just uncomfortable doing kiss scenes. I think her best kisses were with Jerry in CYLS. I would say if you're new to this franchise, watch this and the Japanese version and skip the Korean version. But I guess if you like Lee MinHo, still go for it. Now the only thing left is to check out the Thai version and see how Bright does.
Ugh, I'm sorry, but I had to drop. No amount of hot guys and Andy Bian in a red speedo, could've kept me invested enough to finish this cringe-fest of a drama with the bad CGI and green screen.
I'm a sucker for youth dramas, so I enjoyed this one. I love Lin Yi and he has gotten so much better with his acting. If you can get over the cringe of the female lead, you'll be fine.
So, if you're not into this sort of drama, you'll find it boring and start skipping scenes. I admit, I did skip a few scenes that weren't relevant to the story. The first half of this drama is about friendship, family and ups and downs. So don't expect any romance from the first episode to episode 25. Nothing happens there. From 26 and on-wards, everything went from zero to one hundred REAL QUICK. All the romance comes at you at once, THEN there is this massive break up and we had to wait years before they could've gotten together again, (about from episode 29 til 32) but don't worry, it's a totally worth it happy ending. I loved the families of the friends and the people in the neighborhood. They kept the show going with their stories and comedic antics, especially Shao Xue's parents. They were the best. There's this shop keeper who pretty much knew all the tea of the people in this village because everyone pretty much went to his store front the vent. I'm sure he's heard and seen some thangs. LOL.
The friendship of the group was everything too, except for Shi Yin. I honestly hated her. She's a good friend, but she's a legit terrible person when you look at it and didn't know what she had until it was gone. Then there's the saddest second male lead ever. Sigh.....he didn't stand a chance. You don't EVER catch second lead syndrome with him. Although there was no romantic chemistry between any of them in the first half, the show pretty much dropped a lot of hints as to who the female lead would've ended up with.
In conclusion, it was a beautiful family drama with some heartbreaking moments that will make you tear up and moments that will have you LOLing. Give it a shot.
P.S Wu Huan deserves the WORLD!!!!! He was my favorite character out of the friends.

After episode 13 when everything was solved, it just looked like they didn't have anything else to do, so the rest of the episodes were just focused on getting the leads healed and I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop by the last two episodes and it did.
That seriously pissed me off. Then to top it off, the ending kind of made me angry, because that entire episode was just so uncalled for. I don't understand why these dramas tend to rip away a good ending, to only give the audience 5-10 mins of a happy ending.
