On Me Always You Apr 30, 2022
This is maybe the only Thai drama that isn't BL or horror, that I watched in one sitting. I usually find them either boring or the overacting & screaming makes me drop it after a couple episodes. But this one, I really enjoyed it. Note, I've only watched the Japanese version of this drama and loved that one, so I can only go by that comparison.

PRO: I liked the female lead in this one as I did with the J-drama. She was adorable and looked like a little doll, but her laugh was annoying.
CON: The male lead in here was so boring and plain. They dressed him so bland and I hated his hairstyle. When the work group were in scenes together, he tended to just blur in the background among them. ML in J-drama was pretty good there.
PRO: Nat owned the second lead character. He was so awesome in the role. He brought the humor. Even though I still felt no SML syndrome in either versions, Nat's version is my favorite of the two.
CON: I still hate the best friend for what she did.
PRO: The co-workers were more lively and funnier in this version.
CON: I honestly didn't feel much chemistry with the leads, like I did in the j-drama. They were cute, but she honestly had more chemistry with the SML, even though we know that wasn't going to go anywhere.
CON: Male lead was an idiot for mistaking the best friend in here for female lead. His childhood friend is full Thai when they were younger, but she grew up to be a Westerner? LOL, he even jokes about how dumb he was in a later episode.

CONCLUSION: It was word for word with the j-drama, just that this version fleshed out the best friend's story more with her mother. It was funnier, but the sweet moments were better with FL & SML.

Okay there is a part two up on Youtube that explains everything as to why the male lead is basically mentally unstable and explains the fish. The story KIND of gets better in the second half. Okay, disgregard. It doesn't get better. The most ridiculous kidnapping attempt happens that somehow makes up for all the bad shit her husband did to her and they lived happily ever after. Ain't no way in hell I would've stayed with this guy.

This was hilariously bad and if you actually think about it, the mother here was the true evil and not the male lead or his family. His father was actually trying to save her from her mother, that's why he bought the female lead from her. Anyways, can you imagine what she will tell her kids?

"Hey kids, your evil grandmother sold me to your Pa's family to pay off hospital debts and to support her spending habit. I was forced into a marriage with him. I didn't like your Pa at first because he was an overbearing asshole. He didn't physically abuse me, but he liked pulling me around, being all up in my face and he choked me that one time. It was nice, very 50 shades of grey-ish. Oh there was this one time your aunt tried to frame me too. She's a bitch, you're not going over to her house. Then one day he showed me a hint of kindness and BOOM, my nether regions tingled. I was hooked. One night, I bought him some fish and he freaked the fuck out, almost dislocating my hip on the kitchen table. He never told me what Nemo did to him. Must be bad. He's a psycho, but I love him. Oh wait, did I tell you guys about the random love rival who was my HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER, that finally tracked me down and was in love with me? Your Pa got very angry that night when he saw him and treated me like shit too, but I was in love. After all of that, my dumbass still ran after him, we finally had rough, angry sex and you guys were born. The end. "
On Make My Heart Smile Apr 28, 2022
It was a cute and funny show, but the plot was kind of ridiculous. I feel like in the real world, no one would really care about the twin thing, like how everyone and the school were blowing it out of proportion, but at least that conflict ended realistically. I'm also so tired of c-dramas making the female leads act like 12 year olds and dress like they're 7, instead of just making them mature. I have no problem with acting cute in relationships, but gah, if I had to be her boyfriend, I would've gotten tired of her after a while. I did like the ending though where the FL was the one who had to win back the ML's heart. All in all, it was a cool drama to pass time. I imagine there's a clause in Luo Zheng's contract that states there must be a twin plot line in whatever drama he does.

Is comprehension not your strong suit? NOTHING I said in my comment was hateful.
On Mad for Each Other Apr 23, 2022
It was 10% dialogue and 90% of them yelling at each other, but my god, this shit was FUNNY. It might be up there with Waikiki as far as Korean comedies go, for me. I love it when Oh Yeon Seo plays eccentric characters. (I.E) Like her character in Korean Odyssey. One was nuts and the other was angry as HELL!!! Can you imagine their kids? Anyways, the ending was crap though.
On Lucky's First Love Apr 23, 2022
1. It's a very funny romance.
2. It was also VERY annoying.
3. Bai Lu always has great chemistry with her male counterparts, but I just didn't feel it here with them. It literally felt as if they were acting and sometimes she looked uncomfortable when she was kissing Zhao Lin or when he picked her up. She didn't have that comfortable chemistry, like she had with Leo in Love Is Sweet. Zhao Lin on the other hand has been playing the same type of character in all his dramas and I'm pretty much bored of it. He's been type casted so hard. The best friends had the better chemistry. Hell even her parents had better chemistry.
4. Her parents were awesome, by the way.
5. I loved the male lead's sister and her son.
6. Male lead's best friend was annoying and childish, but I liked that all the love rivals just became one big family of friends.
7. Some scenes felt like they were missing. The editing seemed off.
8. The first half of the drama drags and it picks up at episode 13.
9. Her birthday mishap could've simply been solved by him just saying, "Hey babes, the paps are here. They're annoying. Don't come."
10. The last four episodes gave off BOF vibes by bringing in another love rival that did NOTHING for the story, but only to bring in unnecessary conflit.
11. It was an okay watch. It might be someone's cup of tea.

Someone...tel me if I should watch this :( It was on my plan to watch but the two things throwing me off are 1)…
It's a pretty good watch. The leads may not "officially" get together until the final couple of episodes of the series, but they were a whole ass couple throughout the series and just didn't know it. LOL. They were just really stubborn. Yes there is a time skip at the end, but it's not that bad. There is also a special epilogue episode on YouTube with them with their kids. Last time I watched it wasn't subbed as yet, but should be by now.
On Lovestruck in the City Apr 21, 2022
This was a really great drama. It's different from all the k-dramas I'm used too and reminded of an American show. I LOVED the comedy in this too. It was refreshing and realistic. With that being said, my favorite ship did not sail and now I'm pissed. Bah!!! It also needs a season 2 because lots of the plot still felt unfinished. Also, MY SHIP DID NOT SAIL AND I NEED THEM BACK!!!! 😭😭😭😭
On Lovers of the Red Sky Apr 19, 2022
Title Lovers of the Red Sky Spoiler
It was a good drama, just not that great. The first 3 episodes suck you in because you're like "Hey, this is a cool supernatural drama." Then from episode 4 to 11 it lost all its steam, became draggy, kept repeating lots of plot that we've already been told about in the first few episodes and becomes a painting show. They seemed to forget that they were battling an evil spirit and when they DO remember, it's sprinkled in randomly in some scenes.

It picks up after episode 11 and finally gets back to being a supernatural show, but then everything is rushed and they just start throwing so much random stories at you. It had the LONGEST revenge plot, which makes sense why it took so long because of the plot twist they throw at you in the end. It had the dumbest "overthrowing the king" plot line that all came to an abrupt, end when the king decided to put his son in time out. There were two random characters that had NO sort of explanation as to why they were in the series and involved in the revenge story (I'm talking about Ha Ram's right hand man and the Courtesan Lady) but we do get a little bit about the right hand guy for about 5 mins.

Then there was Ha Ram who you weren't quite sure if he was blind or not. The dude kept following people with his eyes and ANSWERING TO SILENT NODS, which made me think he was faking (he wasn't) and was pretty much the Korean Daredevil.

In terms of romance, you get one kiss in episode 6 or 7 and two in the last episode. It was pretty minimal because whenever these two were together Ha Ram was trying to kill her soooo.....there's that. You have a Second Lead (The Prince) who stood NO chance what so ever, so there were no love triangles, just the one that was in his imagination.

Finally the last episode came and everything was rushed, but you get the HAPPIEST of endings. (time skip) It's set up for a season two between the brothers, (with one of them coming again with another long ass revenge plot) but I do not care because the leads got their end and that's all that matters. I will not be watching it if they decide to do one. Does this warrant a re-watch? Yes, if you're into just staring at Paul Ahn in all his tall, red eyes, handsome glory. If not, nah, but it's good for a first watch.
On Love With Benefits Apr 15, 2022
Quite frankly the dullest thing I've ever seen and I KNOW Gameplay can act. He just couldn't make what they gave him any better. The addition of Best didn't do anything either. Anyways, just enjoy it for what it is. It wasn't horrible, just dull and made for great background noise for if you're doing something. P.S was this the same set for Ingredients? It looked the same.
On Love Unexpected Apr 15, 2022
Okay, I dropped. The ML's Edna Mode wig was killing me, the time traveling wasn't explained well. The villain was also a mess, then they're showing her again in a 2nd timeline where she's back and remembers nothing of the time traveling, but the first episode is what caused the confusion. It started in 2024, where she knows him, cooks for him once, went back to the past, THEN they're showing us another timeline in the same 2024 where she wakes up and remembers nothing, but ML remembers her in the 2024 timeline from the 2012 timeline. THEN, the post credit scenes are another timeline of the past where it shows how everything lead up to 2024 beginning scene. Whew, that was a mouthful. Anyways, TL:DR the drama is stupid, the leads had great chemistry and kisses and I dropped at episode 12.
On Love Unexpected Apr 15, 2022
It wasn't bad, but the last few episodes of the series irritated the hell out of me. It warms my heart that Judy and Kris are together in real life. They had great onscreen chemistry. Their skinship wasn't awkward at all. The first 10 episodes dragged, 10-19 it picked up, then it went downhill from 20 to the last episode. I also hated Judy's character here, couldn't stand her.
On Love the Way You Are Apr 10, 2022
I loved it. Derek Chang is just so freaking adorable. Judy Qi did her thing and she was hilarious. It was a fun little rom com with a few messages on self love and accepting the body you're in. I loved the characters. They made the females strong, no love triangles, no break ups, just simple misunderstandings that lasted a few hours/ about 2 episodes tops because of the persistence of the male lead and him always explaining himself. The love rival wasn't annoying, she was actually pretty damn cool. The side couple was so entertaining but Xiao Nan got annoying sometimes. 😂 He was like a giant baby. But yea, give it a watch. On some scenes you might need the FF button though.
