Thank you for the review! Because of the OSTs, I usually end up re-watching many of the dramas again and again.…
You're most welcome πŸ₯°
Yes, I agree, the OSTs for this drama is really exceptional. They go really well with certain scenes, like the one you mentioned too!

Title Luoyang
Are you guys excited? Because... I am!!!
I've been starved of a great wuxia and finally we get one to end the year. 3 more hours to go! πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰

Hmmm... hope soo too ;D. Which upcoming dramas of your four faves you hope to see?
There are too many to keep track and C-dramas rarely follow their release schedules. As long as they get the approval from NRTA, I'd already feel thankful 😊

Hebe was also my favourite from SHE back in the day! I was such a big fan of them when I was in high school, it…
Hi-five! πŸ™Œ
She was awesome then as she still is, today!
Brings back memories indeed 😊

I love Taiwanese songs, basically grew up with them, along with HK Cantonese songs. This article comes at a very appropriate time to bring awareness to wonderful Taiwanese music 😊

Hebe was my fav from SHE back in the day and I'm glad to see her flourish with her solo career. Shi Shi is a remarkable singer-songwriter, and her latest song for Rainless Love In a Goodness Land, Never Ending Rain is sublime.

Thanks for another fantastic article! ❀️

I do the same! Ratings are guides and I explore them out of curiosity to see what people think as I'm always curious…
You're most welcome, I always enjoy reading your detailed articles πŸ₯°

Very interesting read, thank you for writing this thought-provoking article. Personally for me, I enjoy reading reviews and refer to ratings in general as a guide, not so much on whether or not to watch a production but mainly to get an idea of how it was received by the general public and why. This is just to satisfy my own curiosity as to where I stand amidst popular opinion ☺️

In any case, great job as usual and looking forward to more interesting write-ups from you!

Candle in the Tomb (2016) is the first, followed by Lost Caverns and finally this one. Me too, I enjoyed this…
Ah ok, that series is not bad too but subs are pretty hard to find.

Which one is the first? I've seen the Lost Cavern and I fell in love with this series

Great article, as usual, and I'm going to use this as my personal resource centre for death games. I've seen Bruce Lee's last film, of course. Then Liar Game and Gantz (not the whole series though).

I like unique and out of the box content so death games are generally something I'd enjoy. I don't mind the different approaches eg character-driven, emotional, social commentary, melodramatic but I'm mainly in it for the ingenuity of the games/ plot and the wow factor. Even if the stories aren't new or groundbreaking, as long as they're executed well and entertaining would be fine by me.

Thanks for writing this, OAL! πŸ₯°

Thank you! You've watched it, too? I agree with the OSTs, because some of them are unique with the Amis music…
Yes I actually like the look of Luoyang better as well, from the trailers. Anything serious and mysterious is always right up my alley. SSS initially appeals to me but the trailer, not so much. However, the overwhelming response is that it is the more epic production and, as you said, is reminiscent of JoL. In any case, hopefully they both appear next month and we can check them out πŸ˜„

I've just watched a couple episodes and decided it's not my cup of tea. I prefer pure thrillers and mystery too.

I'm hoping for Sword Snow Stride and Luoyang to be released next month.

Same here, and I'm trying to save some space for next month, for a free new dramas (if rumours are true lol).

Btw, are you watching The Psychologist? It just began airing today.

I've added it to my PTW but haven't got round to starting it. I've seen the trailer though and it looks like an epic period piece.

Yes, that's true. The only drama apart from this one that does is the recently released Seqalu Formosa, I think.

Hahaha! Your review title literally made me choke! 🀣

I didn't realise this show was so bad. I dropped it after 3 episodes, I think. This is quite possibly your lowest ever score, right? πŸ˜
