Great article, as usual, and I'm going to use this as my personal resource centre for death games. I've seen Bruce Lee's last film, of course. Then Liar Game and Gantz (not the whole series though).

I like unique and out of the box content so death games are generally something I'd enjoy. I don't mind the different approaches eg character-driven, emotional, social commentary, melodramatic but I'm mainly in it for the ingenuity of the games/ plot and the wow factor. Even if the stories aren't new or groundbreaking, as long as they're executed well and entertaining would be fine by me.

Yes I actually like the look of Luoyang better as well, from the trailers. Anything serious and mysterious is always right up my alley. SSS initially appeals to me but the trailer, not so much. However, the overwhelming response is that it is the more epic production and, as you said, is reminiscent of JoL. In any case, hopefully they both appear next month and we can check them out 😄

I've just watched a couple episodes and decided it's not my cup of tea. I prefer pure thrillers and mystery too.
