Ah, I didn't realise that one's slated to air today. Anything with Chen Kun should be good. Hopefully it's available on one of the main platforms, though I can't seem to find it. Speaking of military dramas, I've been waiting for China Special Forces but there's no new updates on it...
People's Property is very political and somewhat dry, although Jin Dong is at his typical best here. Qin Lan is more a supporting character in a role that we're probably not used to seeing, compared to her previous notable works. This is similar to Ideal City, which I eventually dropped as well. Very good dramas but with subject matter that hits too close to home π
Yikes! Looks like you need to top up your CW list but seems like there's a dearth of quality content of late. I'm not even sure what to recommend lol It's not really your cup of tea but there's Qin Lan and Jin Dong playing a couple in People's Property, as well as Liu Tao and Lam Fung in Star of Ocean. Maybe they could help with background acoustics as you work lol
Thanks :) I notice you made him your profile picture a few days ago. (I approve of your taste). I think you would…
I've been considering watching it for the longest time - the biggest issue for me is the B&W visual format lol. I get that it conveys a certain visual language that fits with the vision of the filmmaker and the artistic qualities of the script. But it hurts my eyes lol
Ironically, my new pfp is also in B&W π I'm a very big Byun Yo-han fan and glad that you approve of it π
Such a legend, it's a great loss to us all π’ I've seen him in countless productions but now I can only re-watch his previous works. Will miss him for sure... RIP Sonny π
I do enjoy psychological thrillers but don't usually care for surreal and supernatural elements in relation to…
I can understand, in which case I think you'd enjoy the current drama, Chimera. In fact, there's more crime thrillers coming our way so there's plenty to choose from! π
I remember this series! It made me develop a profound phobia for VHS tapes π It was truly one of the most innovative (at the time) approaches to the horror genre.
Thanks for this throwback article and Happy Halloween 2021! π»

3 scenes with colours! Ok, that sounds promising lol
