Every time I check in here, the poster has changed. I wonder if it reflects where the story is going. Frankly I prefer the original poster where Zhang Zi Yi looks badass.
This is a really fun article. Reading it puts a huge grin on my face so thank you very much for that :D Although it's light-hearted and humorous, I agree with the points you raised. Good job! I'll be keeping a look out for your articles from now on :)
After reading the description, it's not really my cup of tea either because like you, I'm way past that youth age lol I was captivated by the poster too, but luckily didn't fall into the trap after reading your review, which is great as always :)
Since you started off with the gif, I will have to say Pride & Prejudice (2205) is one of my all time favourite romance adaptations. Love Actually was quite lovely as well, as are films with Meg Ryan in general back in the day.
For the Asian version, the romance of 2020 for me definitely comes in the form of Love & Redemption (China) and Crash Landing on You (S.Korea).
There have been many productions over the years featuring unforgettable moments of love and each of them is special in its own way. The timing of this article couldn't be more appropriate because during difficult times that we're living in currently, LOVE is needed more than ever :)

Yup, and the whole production took more than a year to complete, and not including the recent episode edits. Sounds like a great idea - a watch party! :D

If only they had stuck with the earlier titles, then it would've given a more intimidating aura... :D
I finally got to watch this. Liam Neissan who?! Jang Hyuk can get it any time! Lol.... Great review, I agree the…
Heheh, I'm glad you finally got to watch and enjoy Jang Hyuk in action. I hope we get to see more of him this year. Thanks for reading and I'm always happy to share what's nice with friends :)
Its still 上阳赋 on my Youku but China Zone and Viki are both calling it Rebel Princess in English.
Wow, so many names and they all sound great, but we end up with the generic one. I'm glad we can call upon your knowledge once again, it makes the viewing experience so much richer :)

I like Monarch Industry, so imagine the shock when @skibbies mentioned it's machine generated! Ode to Shangyang has a romantic feel to it and I like it as well. It's reminiscent of Dream/ Promise of Chang'an. I'm just thankful it's not called Legend of.... (too many have failed to live up to their legends so far)

I'm almost done with that, then I'll catch up with you on this! :D
