in my pov, I think the ML should die at the end and that would be a heart-rending yet beautiful ending (like in uncontrollably fond.) let's say they get a happy ending but how long will love without intimacy can last? let's get real for a moment, I mean, scientifically speaking is it even possible to live that long with a mechanical heart. I would much rather prefer an ending like in Uncontrollably Fond than the nuance of uncertainty that attributes to a happy ending.
