Well it follows the webtoon and gay marriage isn't legal in Japan so I understand. Though I had hoped they were at least able to come out to their friends or family.

What a silly soap opera.
I've finished 21 episodes and the FL character is too naive, goody two shoes, kind and stupid. The Emperor supposedly loves her so much, but the only time he's tried to promote her so far, she turned him down and asked for a different favor. Not because it benefitted her but because she's just so nice and kind and wants everything to be fair, blah blah blah. We're supposed to believe this woman had the guts, ambition and smarts to become Empress when she is about as stategic and cunning as a small child?

The Emperor is too nice. I want to see him have some people beheaded. Act ruthless. I get how the Consorts might want to keep power and the emperors favor, but a bunch of 15 year old girls who see him once are not falling in love at first sight with that old guy. If anything, they might want to get pregnant and promoted so are cunning that way or just as likely, want to be ignored and left alone. They are not mooning over someone 3 times their age. I'd rather make out with the female leads Eunuch. He's cuter. And hey, he has hands and a tongue so .... come on now. 😁 you know some of those harem ladies in the past were getting busy with each other or the eunuchs.

So I'm getting through the episodes with some serious eye rolling at times while wishing there was more realism.

The webtoon has a happy ending. There would be no reason to change it to an unhappy one for the series.

Make a request to Netflix to air the drama (if possible). I just submitted a request. Probably best to use the Japanese series name.

Its easier to teach a less experienced or talented dancer but great singer to dance better quicker than vice versa.

That doesn't mean 2 or 3 from Groove will debut though. But it could play a part.

Well I still like some trainees left but at this point, Im dropping this series.

Its pointed out that it costs a lot of money to withdraw (maybe the actual final amount depends on the reason) but doing so indicates its serious. These are popular trainees who want to debut with fan bases including rich ones.

Its probably a combination of bullying, injuries, total disregard for all the trainees mental and physical health and not wanting to be in stuck in a contract for 3 years for a company that ignores and/or reinforces all the above.

I wish the withdrawn trainees all the best. I absolutely love Ying Hao so if he shows up on another show, I will watch and support him in all ways possible.

I think it was mutual respect between the leaders. Why steal a teams top trainee at first chance? Taking Wooongki would devastate Beat. Secondly, what goes around comes around. By not touching the other teams top trainee, then hopefully if in the bottom themselves next time, the other leaders will leave their top guy alone too.

I think fans are also saying voting irregularities (cheating?) Or voting problems affecting the Chinese trainees so they are boycotting until IQIYI responds and resolves.
I think their hope is them not voting will keep the trainees out of debuting for what they see is a terrible company but that is just selfish. I trust any trainee, regardless of nationality, who does not want to debut for whatever
reason will withdraw from the competition. Until then, their fan bases should continue voting. There's no guarantee if not debuting this time because fan bases stopped voting, the trainee will ever get another chance.

There's no reason for the producers to change to an unhappy ending when the webtoon this series is based on ends happily. And it has a time skip too.

The Hirakuwa actor said in an interview the character wets his head to reset his feelings and attempt to "clean" away negative emotions.

Plus does anyone think the teacher would believe him if he said Majima did it? The teachers have never given Hirukawa any kindness so far. I figure they'd say he's lying and still expel him. Because that fits their wants and narrative. Plus he knows the one teacher is a pervert, more reason to get rid of Hirukawa so his behavior isn't exposed.

I think Hirukawa just feels hopeless at this point.

Last I heard, the director said he doesn't have funding to film part 2 yet. So...unknown when/if there will be a part 2.

If he didn't see Hirukawa as human, why would he research domestic abuse, softly apply the pain patches when asked and invite Hirukawa over because he didn't want him to be outside over night? Are those actions of a person who doesn't recognize the humanity of another person?
Why do you think he paused at the playground the night Hirukawa was playing pool? He was looking for him. He called him with that silly "I got your cologne" excuse to check to see if he was ok.
