Juyeong had no right to go around and act like son towards that bastard of a father.Dohoe for all these years…
I think Juyeong kept in touch with the father because it was the only connection he had left to Dohoe. He maintained a relationship with the father as a proxy stand in for Dohoe. To let Dohoe know, wherever he is (cuz you know Dohoe had to be speaking to others from the town and so knew Juyeong was visiting his dad) that he's still there, doing whatever he can to ease Dohoes burden.
Park Ji Hoon confirmed filming for season 2 is done. Not sure how long for editing, etc and no official air date yet, but we should see this series early 2025.
I feel like a native Korean chef was going to win regardless. I wish the blind tasting was handled differently. Sure they couldn't see the dishes but they heard each chef explain what the dish was. You can't tell me they couldn't recognize some voices (especially the non native chefs) and put two amd two together and/or let it influence them. Plus, as a westerner, every time the assistant spoon fed a judge a bite, I cringed. The next season the chefs should plate the dish and then make a spoon of food the judges can look at and taste on their own while the chefs wait outside the room. And either provide a written description of the dish or have a host read out loud the description. I do have a bit of a crush on Ahn Sung Jae now...
You can have a new season with different secondary characters you know.
They could use them or recruit outside BOC too. Pond has said they are willing to bring in outside actors (like they did with Jes) to fit a project as necessary. I guess we'll just have to wait and see
LOL it's very disgusting this drama is so underrated . If it would be full of NC then people must give this drama…
Nah, I see it lower rated because the director intentionally ended the season as he did to manipulate as best as possible to get a season 2 knowing the odds of it happening were almost non-existent. So people are disapointed about not getting a fuller romantic payoff after 12 episodes when its very likely there's no season 2 coming. Promises of lots of romance in the next season ring hollow when there's so little chance it will be made. It feels like the director chose the ending to get a season 2 more than what would satisfy viewers the best BASED ON WHAT HE KNEW THE ODDS WERE OF GETTING A SEASON 2. And if no season 2? Oh well.
I guess I'm the type who'd rather them be together at the end of season 1 with a 1% chance of getting a season 2 rather than a 10% chance of getting a season 2 by ending season 1 the way it was chosen.
This show does not end with everything wrapped up into a nice bow. Several plot lines are left open/unfinished,…
Is it true they get together at the end of book 3? Why did the director choose to end season 1 (the only season?) some chapters before the end of book 3 when that isn't really logical? There'd still be 2 books to cover if a season 2 but if it didnt happen, the series would still end with them togather AND be following the source material.
I wish you luck getting a second season, sign that petition!
Odds are low though. Only 1 Taiwanese BL I can remember got a 2nd season and that was We Best Love and Season 2 was filmed immediately after season 1 was filmed.
I dont think Taiwanese BLs make money. Add in that marketing such as joint fan meets, product endorsements, magazine appearances, fanservice events, etc really can't happen much because of LDQs career in China and the chances seem even less.
There's a theory floating that the open ending was to give everyone some plausible deniability that while the series is based on a BL novel and there are some gay feelings, ultimately they were rejected. That way those still working in China can avoid some blowback if its decided to not do a season 2.
Don't come after me, I am just reporting what I hear, not saying I agree with it!
How do you use emojis here? I haven't figured a way to do it yet.
Use your phone to post on MDL and choose an emoji just like you'd do if sending one in a text conversation. At least that's what works for me. π π¬π€’π€‘ππ₯π§

I feel Pond has the acting skills to be in a serious, mature (not talking NC mature but storywise mature) BL with someone of equal presence.
This feels like they're trying to recreate We. As if we don't already have enough generic Thai college BLs.
