The princess' actions make sense to me. She tried killing the FL the first time. It would make sense she will continue to try to kill her once she learns that the FL is still alive. The FL surviving is danger to her survival. The sooner the FL dies, the safer she will be (cause she is the FL's biggest enemy). She's not smart but has a lot of power and super spoiled.
SYR admitting that the FL is fake would open a whole can of worms...and not one in his favor like he explained to the princess in private. I think it was a smart decision just like how the dad went with it as well knowing that the FL isn't really JL. The family could be dragged down with her. Plus, the princess isn't on the Jiang's side. Shes supports the Lis.
Freakin cliffhangers! I am SEATED to see how the FL will escape this upcoming struggle about her identity. Someone mentioned that LYB has an incentive to claim the FL as his biological daughter so he doesn't get flack for mistreating her. That's the only out for her I can think of. Deny deny deny lol. I see her identity is exposed AND she gets accused of killing the real JL. That head mistress of the boarding school would no longer need to keep the FL's secret because she can accuse her of killing JL to gain her identity. This lets the head mistress get away from the murder charge. The maid gets assassinated to remove any witnesses for her the FL.
The FL doesn't have any evidence (that I can recall) that her ex-husband or princess tried to murder her. One witness, JL, is dead. Other witnesses are her family who are criminals. If the villains killed the maid too then that's another witness gone. I'm expecting this kind of drama so will skip a few episodes and resume watching close to the ending. lol
It felt like watching a soap opera in the latest two episodes. I was very entertained. The princess is one crazy lady. It appeared that she was aware that the FL is still alive and wanted to punish YSR for doing such a shitty job of killing her. The poor actor for YSR. He looks like he is about to break down in almost every scene.
I like that JL's sisters aren't that bright which makes it easier for the FL to remove them from the show. One of the most annoying tropes, as shown in Princess WY for example, was all of the cat fighting between the sisters.

I was enjoying this too. The angst didn't last long because the Shen heads were portrayed as incompetent. Prince Jin figured out their schemes pretty quickly once he found clues. The last few episodes have been frustrating to watch though because the female villain is a...cockroach. How many times did she try to assassinate him and still get to live? All of her plans have been ass and yet she is alive because she is a villain. Kill her off please.
