The characters don't have much personality other than loving each other, that's it, lolI was just thinking the…
Tharn and Type's relationship had BIG problems. But the thing is, they grow throughout the unfolding of those problems. And the world isn't perfect so they don't make it past all of the snarls, but they do grow. And that's one of many things lacking in this drama. There is no growth.
NAH I'M SO MAD I CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER WEEK FUCK THIS OH MY GOD WHY CAN'T THEY JUST TELL EACH OTHER, I UNDERSTAND…
I am living for this comment. The energy! LOL. And I agree in some ways. But Lian already knows about Kuea's life as a musician. And he's hiding that fact plus engaging in all the other lies. It's kind of absurd of him (and kind of sinister) to assume that's a great ground for asking someone to marry him.
Kuea knows Lian came to see him at his gig and was okay with it so this outburst makes no sense. They could've…
This post is heroic. It's my hero.
Public proposals are barely okay if both parties communicate well and are on the same page for sure. For a couple where there is a lot of deceit and several still unresolved issues, Lian proposing in public was just a way to pressure Kuea into accepting. And I am glad Kuea resisted that pressure.
Personally, this is where I'd stop this train wreck. Let Kuea go off on his own, find his freedom, build his life and then later they can meet, maybe in a season 2 set some years later, when Lian has rethought ALL of his relationship tactics, and Kuea is more grown up and ready to demand his place as an equal in the relationship.
funny thing is I only noticed there was no plot by episode 8 when I felt like 3 episodes straight it was just…
There's no shame in coming to a realization 8 episodes in. Some people still haven't come to that realization.
I spotted it really early, but that might be because among other things, I script write for comics professionally. I don't know that it gives me an edge, but it does mean I watch for certain things that were missing as early as episode 1. But which I felt were blatantly being mishandled by episode 2.
The real travesty here is that this isn't what good writing, good characterizations or good story pacing look like. And it's a waste of the talent they had at their disposal and the expense and expertise that went into the technical aspects of the drama.
oh that ending was a GAG, probably the most interesting thing to happen in the show... ever?
It would have made a great close to the entire series. If they had stopped it right there I might have even been generous in my final review, just because of the great close.
Kuea should have actually ended things in episode 1.
This show....lol. Surprise proposals are bad ideas, in general. Lian should have waited, because the air was still…
Yeah, the level in which Lian and Yi infantilize their partners is sick. And the thing is, these men are way, way older in a culture where there is a built in concept of adherence to age seniority in relationships. So the whole thing is unwholesome and while I get why it's hard for Diao and Kuea just to walk away, my fondest wish for the plot is that they would.
And if your relationship isn't built on good, solid communication, you aren't ready to propose, Lian. Fuck this man is bad at people.
Okay, Im sorry but the character creation is so bad. I wasn't looking at that because of the tension and chemistry,…
Zee is a good actor, but the character is written for shit. I think he was literally coached for this by being told "You can't make expressions. Lian doesn't have those."
I'm glad that it's the last episode next week ngl. I'm just saying y'all, don't come at me
No one should come at you for that. But even if they do we'll back you. And you're right. Next week we get to escape and it's going to feel really good.
I must say this show started hot and heavy but fizzled very quickly.. the plot is barely there... then the last…
Oh I am so sorry. I forgot to warn you NOTHING IN THIS STORY MAKES SENSE.
LOL. It's like they threw a bunch of scenes into a barrel, mixed them all up and then drew them back out one at a time and pasted them into a script in that order.

See you next week for the end of this mess.
