I bet Kalae is still suspicious of Sandee. But he's a chill bro. So maybe he's waiting to see what Tong decides…
"The white track suit was cool visial metaphor. And it was dead sexy."

Yeah, outside of the class uniform, Wayu usually wears pink, white or some pastel color. I think it's meant to either reflect physical/emotional purity, or be kind of like "princess" colors. Like when you know who the regal personality or royal character is because she's the one dressed in pastels, or white. Princess colors.

At least that's my theory.

Hahahahaa! I can't believe the neckties caught your attention. That's great!
All I can say is I like neatness, or at least stuff done the right way. So the ties stood out like a sore thumb. I was like "Awwww! Look at Kit and Mark having a moment in the bathr... WTF, Kit! That's not how you fix a tie!". Then in the scenes on stage I was all "Awww... Look at the sad faces Thanu and Wayu are exchanging. And fuck me! Their ties are wrong as well! Everyone's tie is wrong! Wait! Except that one kid's. WTF!"

LOL

Yessss, I loved Thanu's lil studio! I'm also a studio artist, so it was cute seeing their little attempt at one.…
Yay! Another figure artist!
My Discord is BadPennyGirl if you ever wanna talk art. Or even just chat about Gen Y and Thanu/Wayu! I am about to do some Gen Y 2 fanart.

Title Gen Y Season 2 Spoiler
Just finished watching ep 2 and omg....First off: Pha's moment where he talked briefly talked about his illness…
I loved your review! You hit all the high notes.

I too was surprised Saen Dee revealed himself so soon. What I wasn't surprised by was how messed up and creepy the way he went about it was.

I adored the sweet study scene between Wayu/Thanu. And the angst was... wow! Pitch perfect.

I also loved the jogging scene, except the very end with the "ants" thing. That was silly and off the top of my head I could think of two better ways to reveal that scar to Wayu.

The hospital scene with Pha made me tear up. Big is turning out tp be a really good actor!

Both kit/Mark and Tong/Pok were really sweet this episode and it's nice to see.

I worry about hiding Pha's situation from Wayu. Kit is wrong. If Wayu and Thanu were meant to be together, knowing about Pha's plight won't break them up. And hiding it from Wayu (and Thanu) is infantilizing him, robbing him of info that is vitally important, just to control his choices. No bueno, Kit. Listen to Mark.

Yes, Pha has a right to decide who knows he's terminally ill. But on the other hand, he can't maintain healthy intimate relationships by hiding things like this. He's not willing to be honest with Wayu, but he was hoping at one point that Wayu would give him another chance? Not a healthy relationship strategy, Pha.

He's in my top 5 and there are some other really handsome men in this series. When I saw him in the first season,…
That would be "My lucky Cat". And yeah, they're super hot in that. Plus there is season 3 of Gen y and one other "secret"drama beyond that. So dunBas is due to stick around for quite a while.

I'm not going to bring up everything else because it's been talked about, but what the fu*k is Sandee's problem?…
Saen Dee was crazy from day one, just about. Being in love with someone doesn't validate patently psycho behaviors. Neither does having your test results switched. He's just one of those people that derives pleasure from making chaos and hurting people and the reason he supposedly does awful things is just a cover for the fact that he enjoys it. Even when Phai was "I don't want this. Stop", Saen dee just grinned like a cartoon villain and ignored Phai. This will all get excused later, i am assuming. But to me, Saen Dee is unredeemable.

After reading your comment I was on the lookout for the one person who had the tie done correctly and I found…
Yeah, almost all of the cast were wearing half-Windsor knots, which weren't a proper fill of the collar space. Full Windsor, people! ROFL

No, not shallow. Just a fan of beautiful men. And yes, Dun is amazingly attractive. Bas is in there too.
They both have the prettiest eyes and mouths. And I have to admit i'm gone for Bas' nose.

I really enjoyed episode 2!

Some great Wayu/Thanu moments with lots of feels. Thanu's studio space impressed me. As a studio artist, I can say it felt a bit deliberate, but all the right elements were there. Kit and Pha broke me. Phai actually develops a personality in this one and he's spunky! And Tong's mullet got a much needed trim. He looks cute in this episode.

And absolutely no one had their tie done correctly for the type of collars on those white button ups. Wait. I take that back. One of the Extras on stage had their tie done right.

Also, sweaty Wayu for the win!

Why do so many Thai boys like playing Gay roles? Now there are a few, like Fluke .....and everybody loves Fluke.......who…
Hmmm... I know your post is a year old. And I am not precisely sure what you were getting at. So feel free to ignore this.

I think "playing gay roles" isn't a matter of "liking" to do it so much as just professional opportunity. Actors are like any other kind of worker, they accept what work is available and BL roles are a good way to build a career quickly.

And as a queer person myself, I can tell you that it's no one's business what your sexual orientation is unless you feel like sharing that. Fluke is "out". So is Gun. And that's great. But it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with NOT being out.

I guess I'm confused by why it matters if the actor taking a gay role is out, or even gay. A persons' sexual orientation has nothing to do with the sexuality of the character they play. Which is one of the reasons I get super creeped-out by fan-service addicts who insist on shipping the actors, rather than the characters they play.

I am here for the Thanu/Wayu. I love their look, their dynamic, and their chemistry. I'm not even really interested…
I am over the moon about Wayu/Thanu, but I actually like Kit. I'm not super invested in Kit/Mark either, but they're cute sometimes. And Kit has a very sweet side that Wayu brought out on more than one occasion. So even though his character is really brisk at times, I feel like Kit has shown some emotional range.

IDK if I should put this under spoilers since it's for S1, but:So Thanu/Wayu and Thanu/Phai are about two different…
THANK YOU!

I laugh every time I see someone pop out a comment to the tune of "using a vote is lazy writing" or "Phai and Thanu were endgame in the books.". I've made posts before explaining the place of marketing, polling and audience screening in every show or movie we watch. And I've explained before that The books weren't done when the rights to the story was bought.

But it doesn't sink in. It was nice to read someone else explain it for once. I'm getting worn out.

In the end, Star Hunter, during the initial outbreak of COVID, decided to pad out their work basket and invested about 150,000,000 Bhat into story rights, lyrics, composers and other assets in order to make sure they had content throughout the pandemic for their actors. They also took a new batch of actors on. It was a cool move and definitely made fans feel more secure about things.

And the story for Gen Y was one of the things they secured first. It was always meant to be a vehicle for Bas and Dun as a couple. Phai was never meant to be with Thanu and that was pretty obvious from the very beginning of the story. At least I thought it was obvious. For every moment when Thanu and Phai just missed each other, Thanu and Wayu were actually connecting. And how could anyone watch the scene where Thanu is in his Mustang, taking care of Wayu after the confrontation with Padbok and not read the whole "cheek stroke" as a moment of unrestrained attraction. There was no dirt spot there! Thanu just wanted to touch Wayu's pretty cheek.

Also, Star Hunter is unique as studios in the BL industry go. Most industries, GMMTV and others included, crank work regardless of representation because the target audience is straight women who fetishize gayness. As a queer person myself, it was nice to see Star Hunter step forward with a mission statement about representation and a focus on stories that appeal to audiences regardless of their gender or orientation.

Yea, it was part of the marketing clear from season 1. Since it's not marketed towards international fans, if…
You're absolutely right. It was pretty obvious from promotional touring for season 1 that Thanu was going to be with Wayu. And it's a great choice to have Bas and Dun be a CP since they rock out loud with the great chemistry. It's so cute!

I loved season 1 and for the handful of people complaining about too many characters taking away from coherency, all i can say is I had no trouble following what was going on. The only reason I didn't care for the additional cast was because I felt that the story was very toxic. But, when I got to thinking it over I felt better about that since sometimes it's just like that and when it comes to Sandee... Well, he makes a great villain.

As for the vote? Pfft. Voting and audience polling are an industry standard. It has nothing to do with creativity. Literally every show you watch had some level of marketing polling or audience screening involved. People act like the vote was this big creative shortcut because they don't realize how commonplace it is. And also because they don't realize how script writing for shows actually works. The difference with this marketing poll was that it was out in the open, and was actually a lot of fun. Especially for Bas' fans.

Wayu, like Bas' character "Wayo" in 2 Moons, is the center of the story around which everything else happens and Bas has been really enjoyable for me to watch in that role. And he already seems so beautiful in season 2! Looks like I'm going to love season 2 just as much as season 1.

I can't wait for this series to air and I need Thanu and Phai to end up together...
Sorry but according to the press coverage and promotional info, it's absolutely going to be Thanu/Wayu at the end of it.

Plus, Bas and dun are a BL professional partnership. So yeah, it would be Thanu/Wayu just because of that.

Star Hunter also set up a voting system to let the fans have a say in who Wayu ended up in a relationship with, and fans overwhelmingly voted for Thanu to be with Wayu. The results are official and final.

Title Gen Y Season 2 Spoiler
I believe he's meant to get with Sandee. Which sucks, from my perspective. Because Sandee is sort of a psycho.
Since Bank (The actor playing Saen Dee) is Pon's BL ship (I believe), I suspect they will indeed end up together.

As for the character? Pfft. Saen Dee (Sandee) has done way too much crazy already for me to ever like him. But I have no doubt he'll get some kind of redemption arc. But seriously. He sent people to BEAT SOMEONE UP. No. That's inexcusable. I don't care if dude did switch your test scores. You turn him in, you don't hire thugs!

I am relieved the fan voting came out the way it did and we'll get Thany/Wayu in the end. No doubt there will be drama for the couple due to the story-lines with Phai and Pharawee. But I am comforted to know that it will work out and they will get to be together.

I am also hoping Sab and Padbok get their moments. I really liked the actors playing both of them!

As much as people have issues with this series and as imperfect as it was, I'm ready to take it for what it is…
Thanu/Wayu is what I'm waiting for! But I am interested in whether Sab and Padbok will get together. I think they might.
