He's okay. No one actually purposefully hits him. When Phai dragged Pok off of Saendee, Pok swung back to hit Saendee again and catches Phai with an elbow accidentally.
That's actually why Saendee tells Pok the truth about the test scores. Because he's shitty that Phai got his nose bloodied. Prior to that he was just "maybe you should ask Tong". Once Saendee saw Phai's nose though, he's like "Fine, bitch. You wanna know why I'm messing with Tong? Here's why."
Oh hell! That was a ride. I actually did not see Saendee spilling the beans to everyone. He was loving the chaos, too!
Thanu and Wayu were adorable! I love that Wayu stocked his floor's coffee station with Thanu's fav coffee! And Mark and Kit were cute too. But really Mark! You live with him and share a bed. Does Kit have to give you an engraved invitation?
Pok and Tong's split felt like it was sad, but the natural thing. But it annoys me that despite Tong being the one to secure the dorm room, he's the one that keeps getting kicked out. Plus, the whole shower sex scene was cringy. You don't get someone on their knees for you and then dump them after you get off. Newp.
Kit in a soft cream cardigan at the hospital scene was very iconic. And ha! I adore Wayu. He opens his closet to get a clean shirt for Thanu and the only thing inside are white school shirts and PINK everything else. It was brilliant. The boy has a LEWK!
Thanu threatening Saendee was good. Nicely done. But Pok punching Saendee. That felt so goooood. Unfortunately for Saendee due to his perfidy, he has traded his entire group of friends for temporary kicks at watching the chaos unfold.
Ommmmmg should I wait until all of them are out?? >____< I hate waiting for new episodes but I’ve been waiting…
I too usually hate waiting for each episode so I binge when the season is completely released. But I took a chance on Gen Y 2 because, like you, I had been waiting sooo long.
And it's very worth it to watch every week. I even made some friends here by keeping up with the weekly episodes, and one of them I chat with on Discord after the episodes come out. Very, very worth it IMHO. But mileage may vary.
Given that Junior was not present in the StarHunter Xmas musical video and he's not showing up in anything else, I am wondering if he's in the process of negotiating a split with StarHunter. That would explain his absence from season 2. I hope it isn't the case, though.
This season is the healthiest I've seen Mark and Kit's relationship be and it's still got problems. Kit consistently in the past has used his love as a merit based reward to withhold if Mark does something he dislikes. That's not healthy but I think he's better about that now. However, Kit has now sort of emotionally blackmailed Mark into going against his moral code, ignoring uneasiness he feels at manipulating Wayu by withholding information about Pha.
Yeah, they've been more cute lately, and it's very nice to see Kit being an attentive lover. But until Kit addresses his control issues and Mark starts lovingly standing his ground about his own moral code, this relationship is set up to have real problems.
As for Thanu and Wayu, I was glad to see Wayu start to resolve his (well earned) trust issues. And I was glad Thanu finally told Wayu about his history with Phai. I think Thanu reacted to Wayu's mistrust and hurt very well. He was clear cut in his dedication and patient. This is growth. I loved it.
In Episode 4 I am hoping for Mark to do the right thing and tell Wayu about Pha, but I am very worried he won't get to it before Saendee does.
I love your assessment of the series. I agree ... Sab is an unsung hero. I hope he gets a man of his own. That…
The problem here is Saendee is obsessive about his idea of "destiny" and dismissive of everyone else's' wishes, including those of Phai. And people's wellfare is falling way, way below his radar. He shows signs of even being a bit delusional, since logic isn't getting through to him.
He's really a very good representation of a psychotic character. I was totally surprised something so dark made its way into the plot. So I am hoping Phai gets with someone else. I am NOOooot a fan of shipping psychotic characters. That whole suicide squad shit is for the birds.
TBH, I'm just here for MarkKit and JackKo or KoJack. PokTong story seems interesting but they kinda creep me out…
Pok/Tong creeped me out last season and I was sure there was no way for me to ever be interested in their weirdly toxic relationship. Then season 3 landed and for some reason that's changed. I can't even explain... It doesn't make sense to me.
Or the more relevant reason Wayu said that is because "thanu" is the Thai word for "archery bow". The word for…
Oh, I feel you on the friend front.
I have run into that too. I have a friend who is American diaspora working in Thailand for many years now. He's about 10 years my younger and not only does he often not understand idioms he grew up with in the US, he's dreadful at intuiting Thai idioms. LOL!
That being said, I'm pretty familiar with the Indo-Aryan and Khmer language influences. And the migratory nature of Hindu mythology in Thai culture. The bigger question than the degree of Hindu influence on Thai culture is whether Thai culture commonly embraces religious puns as a polite form of humor. Because Wayu is kind of hung up on being polite, most of the time. Which I find cute, myself.
As you say, the linguistic pun is a more direct interpretation to go with. And I do SOOOOoooo love those.
If we can continue to get solid 5-7 minute sections of the show with MarkKit being happy and romantic, I'm able…
Or the more relevant reason Wayu said that is because "thanu" is the Thai word for "archery bow". The word for "archer" itself in Thai is "yingthanu", I believe.
Wayu isn't Hindu, he's much more likely to be Buddhist. So the gentle jibe at Thanu was much less likely to be based on a religious name association and the greater probability is that his statement was based on Thai linguistic word play. Which is utterly cute of him.
I also don't get why he'd follow Kit & Mark into the hospital? Did he think he'd find something to hurt Wayu with?…
I think you're not wrong that Kalae is more of a watcher/doer than a speaker. But I think it's just his diffident personality. He's not a bad guy, I don't think. Just a stalwart silent type.
Plus Saendee clearly is involved in creating a lot of chaos already. He doesn't seem to need much help doing the batshit crazy stuff.
I love your assessment of the series. I agree ... Sab is an unsung hero. I hope he gets a man of his own. That…
My observation is that Saendee is very hung up on two things; destiny and Phai. When he crushed on Phai and Phai was oblivious and didn't believe in fate, it was all good. Saendee could wait for Phai to realize they were destined for each other. But once Phai started believing in destiny because of his situation with Thanu, Saendee had to change gears. He believes in the absolute rightness of destiny more than he believes in the power of love, so he is obsessed with Phai getting to be with Thanu. But Saendee also loves Phai (in his own twisted way) and so he's that much more determined that if Phai can't be with him, that Phai gets to be with the person he wants. And Phai has inadvertently made it clear he wants Thanu.
okay, fine. They made me care about Pok and Tong. I didn't think it was possible and I certainly didn't think it would happen 3 episodes in, but I'm shipping them now. HOW!!!!

Also looks like maybe Thanu is threatening Saendee. Looking very forward to seeing the new ep!

Now I'm suddenly invested.
