Will you be disappointed ..?It’s okay to spoiler, so I’ll still watch the episode. But I can’t watch it in…
As a manga reader I am going to tell you again, but anything about the foster dad/care taker I don't know anything about. The care taker is a drama original character and not in the manga at all. So I am on the same level with you about the care taker: don't know anything.
I don't know when Shirou will tell Ichirou about the care taker but the care taker is'nt the reason Ichirou is angry with him. It's more like because the care taker has been framed/scapegoated Shirou feels like he needs to remain with Ichirou in the investigation.
So if you ask about the care taker, I don't know anything about him lol.
Will you be disappointed ..?It’s okay to spoiler, so I’ll still watch the episode. But I can’t watch it in…
(watches the episode 5 preview)
Rough translation not 100% accurate as always
About 41 seconds into the preview is the argument part I think
Ichirou: I think you should'nt get involved any more
Ichirou: I am saying that you are dragging/slowing me down!
Shirou: I don't know how to react when you tell me that
Shirou: Then what? Does that mean you are going to leave this house?
Ichirou: I am fully prepared for this
Make what you will out of the episode preview, you won't know what will happen fully unless you watch the episode. My guesses are from volume 4 of the manga because I've read it.
Will you be disappointed ..?It’s okay to spoiler, so I’ll still watch the episode. But I can’t watch it in…
You are on the right track
Kei x Yaku has a heavy theme of life and death.
You should know that Ichirou parents died when he was young. He's badly affected by it (PTSD) He views Shirou as someone important to him. If Shirou dies his PTSD gets worse.
Shirou at 1st is a reckless character, he does'nt care if he dies. There's a lot of events in the manga where he almost gets killed. Volume 3 was one of the closest to death Shirou was, the other is volume 5. Shirou learns that there's people like Rion and Ichirou that care for him and don't want him to die.
I assume that Shirou in the drama feels heavily connected to the investigation because of Rion and the foster dad character that he wants to carry on working with Ichirou. But Ichirou has PTSD issues and thinks Shirou will die because of the investigation because Shirou got kidnaped once already.
Don't worry they won't spilt because of it, but it teaches the viewer about the meaning of being alive and how death affects others.
Will you be disappointed ..?It’s okay to spoiler, so I’ll still watch the episode. But I can’t watch it in…
Episode 5 is covering the rest of volume 3 and moving on to volume 4.
Rion is talking about how she got involved with Masashi and why she went into hiding with Taguchi help. But it may also seem that Nina (female baddie) is trying to track her down.
Nina (female baddie) is also trying to kill Masashi but I don't think that person she's working with is Ron (Ron is younger in the manga, Ron is another baddie in the manga, Nina works for him).
Ichirou is angry/upset with shirou is because he does'nt want Shirou to be involved with the investigation any futher. Ichirou is scared of Shirou is doing to die because the investigation and Ichirou never wants to loose anyone important to him again.
Ichirou PTSD really comes out in volume 4 and it looks like episode 5 is going to show it. The manga has a really tender moment that Ichirou is affected by his PTSD and Shirou hugs him. Then Ichirou cries about his parent's death in the toilet/bathroom.
The drama is likely going to cut the hug between Ichirou and Shirou but keep the aurgument between Ichirou and Shirou and Ichirou crying in the bathroom/toilet.
Will you be disappointed ..?It’s okay to spoiler, so I’ll still watch the episode. But I can’t watch it in…
Maybe because there was no hand holding lol.
Also the way they saved Shirou was really lame. The female baddie helped them out, like what was the point of kidnapping someone to lure someone out and then fail to kill them after. The drama failed to explain any of it.
Shirou in the manga was on the verge of death when he got kidnapped and he thought of Ichirou and wanting to live to see him again. It kind of got masked by that little viewpoint from Shirou in the drama which I thought was nice.
The drama is getting less gay the more episodes I watch but I am still enjoying otherwise.
The live stream was working so I was able to watch episode 4It was really exicting, but slightly disapointing…
Man THEY SPEEDRAN through volume 3. The important parts of volume 3 happened but it went by so quickly for me to register what's happening.
They really skipped the Ichirou looking after Shirou having a cold (RIP hand holding). But that view point from shirou looking at Ichirou was really well done. Yup this drama is still very bromance to me
Rion reveal was so cool. But there's a few people I don't know in this episode.
The other girl I assume is Nina (the female baddie in manga, or a new OC?) ? But then she helped Rion and Ichirou in the end by leading them to shirou Then there's another baddie is that a older Ron or something like that?
Oh yeah Masashi did hire Nina to kidnap Shirou in the manga, but not because to lure Rion out it was because he knew Shirou has sleeping with his dad lol. Nina is a person that Masashi knows but in secret he wants to kill her as well. They did'nt explain it well in the drama version. A lot of watchers will think "who is this girl?".
That omake is one of the best ones I've seen so far. It was so damn funny to see Ichirou wear Shirou's nightgown and dance around in it. I think it's out of his character but whatever.
Next episode preview: Looks like volume 4 material but it does look like the drama is going to differ/stray from the manga material here.
In other news NTV have decided to make some offical Kei x Yaku drama merch. Just basic things like clear files, posters and acrylic stands. I heard that it's not going to be released until March.
I mean there's nothing wrong with Octopath as a boy group. The song is catchy but the song was written for the debut of the boy group and not for the drama. It does'nt really match the theme of the drama itself.
It would of been better if NTV found another music band/ boy group to comission them and write a song for the drama. (Eg like Da-iCE did for Zettai BL, I love Bubble love and it goes well. or Omoinotake for Cherry Magic that OP was a masterpiece )
Well I've read the manga volume 1 to 7, so if there's any questions you want answered go ahead.I am not fluent…
Hard question to answer because the series is ongoing. The answer is to watch the series as is or wait until all 9 episodes airs.
Manga: Yes, a romance forms as in there's signs Ichirou and Shirou like each other. But it's slow burn and nothing is confirmed. Shirou and Ichirou have not confessed to each other at all currently.
Drama (so far): No idea, looks like it's going towards a bromance route snice the drama alters a lot from the manga. The drama is promoted heavily as a bromance buddy drama. I don't know really
NTV made like these preview videos for each episode with a narrator saying what happened in the previous episode and what will happen in the future episode.
In the manga the fake lovers contract begins in chapter 2.Yeah it seems in the drama it is unclear that the fake…
(re-reads voulme 3 for the billonth time)
So Taguchi in the manga is more calm and down to earth. When Ichirou appoaches him with more questions, he says he's going to reveal the whole turth behind his relationship with Shirou.
Taguchi replies that his case of montoring Shirou is over and tells him to rest. When Ichirou refuses Taguchi menacing stands there and asks him if he wants to mess with Osu Kimiaki (prime minster of the story) and walks away. But he texts Ichirou after with where Rion is hiding.
The drama is taking a different route, drama Ichirou has no patience lol. Ichirou is the one theating Taguchi which I asume will lead Taguchi to lead him to Rion.
So the manga is based on a collaboration between Asumiko Nakamura (Mangaka for Doukyusei) and Yuuri Eda (novelist) based on their experiences of ordering food online.
It's pretty much about a Mangaka and erotic writer being friends and ordering various online food. I have not read the manga but it's only two volumes. From what I've read from reading reviews from Chil Chil (Japanese BL site) this series is strictly bromance only (various reviewers confirm the series is not BL) and only focus strictly on the food they order online with each chapter on a different food item.
So expect something like "what did you eat yesterday" but less gay and more bromance with the focus being on food mostly.
I don't know if I will watch this series when it starts in April.
I'm a little confused, to be honest. Have they started their fake "lover's contract" yet or am I just not paying…
In the manga the fake lovers contract begins in chapter 2.
Yeah it seems in the drama it is unclear that the fake lovers contract has started or not, but in episode 3 it seems that Shirou's henchmen are thinking the two have some sort of relationship. It might be active in the background or when Shirou and Ichirou need it when in investigation later on in the episodes.
I don't know when Shirou will tell Ichirou about the care taker but the care taker is'nt the reason Ichirou is angry with him. It's more like because the care taker has been framed/scapegoated Shirou feels like he needs to remain with Ichirou in the investigation.

I am not too familar with Korean dramas, so Korean names are long to me and even I get confused I'll try change the names if I can.

Like this preview they did for episode 2. But I guess they stopped.
Oh I am NOT talking about the general episode preview, because they do that on their twitter.
I am talking about those longer episode preview with a narrator talking about it.
2.) Yes Shirou gets kidnapped in the manga as well
3.) Bought the e-manga on bookwalker can't help you to where to read online for free.
But episode 4 is tommrow so I can wait.
I am not fluent in Japanese but I understand a good amount of it.

Funny as it sounds Shirou needed to sleep with Osu for the plot to advance lol.
