Strange how i was thinking of re-watching this because i missed it a few days ago..but after hearing the news i feel like itd be too sad to watch ...💔🕊
at first i was thinking this would be too cringe for me to handle, but surprisingly it wasnt that bad. what annoyed me was that long distance break up plot like...it was so unnecessary ?? also i'm kinda mad that the FL forgave soojin. i've never liked soojin and would never forgive her for what she did like...she seems so fake to me anyway. also i don't get how so many people get second lead syndrome here. i skipped so many scenes of seojun with the FL lmao i don't get the hype. sooho and the fl are definitely better together >>
btw i really dislike the FL's mother. how come she's a beauty salon owner, but can't help her own daughter feel more beautiful ? instead of doing that she keeps calling her ugly and telling her to focus on her grades like...it's so weird... not to mention that the FL isn't even ugly, she just didn't know how to take care of her appearance properly (for example the eyebrows or wearing ugly glasses etc.) the acne is also normal for her age so yea...
'ugly' characters in kdramas (and just shows/movies in general) are always the same, wearing thick glasses, braces, acne, messy hair lmao...when in reality they aren't ugly at all...
ngl this season was very boring and so unnecessary. like i dont give a damn about the soldiers or the new characters at the shelter i just kept skipping scenes with them...i can only hope that season 3 will be better i'm curious to see how this story will end ;; p.s ALSO the lack of song kang who is supposed to be the MC is so criminal lmao...they really tricked us here.
the most memorable for me are twinkling watermelon and good bad mother! i don't get the hype over moving btw. yes it was good but NOT the best (for me anyway)
when i first read the title i was expecting a lighter drama but suddenly it got very dark, i was definitely not expecting the FL to suffer from an illness as well but overall i enjoyed watching it :-)
i had a good laugh on the first few episodes after a while it got quite boring and i lost interest...anyway i managed to finish it while skipping a few scenes at the end. i can confirm that season 1 is much better, but this wasn't bad if you want to watch something more light and fun when you don't have anything new to watch i guess ;; (but yeah if you want to watch welcome to waikiki please watch the first season!!)

Yes i know its from a real story, but still, this is a kdrama. They could have avoided a tragedy and give us a happier ending instead. There is no need to follow the exact real life events 🤷♀️
i dropped this and put it on hold last year and im watching it again. i managed to finish it. i have to say that i'm still not a huge fan of this drama (it wasn't the worse i've seen but not the best as most claim). i do have a few things i liked, but there are also many things i disliked..i see so many comments saying they loved it but i can't relate ;;; (tagging this as spoilers just in case) first of all the first 6-7 episodes felt so boring to me. i had to skip a few scenes to go through it...not to mention how annoying that old king was OMG i just wanted to strangle him just by hearing his annoying voice.. and after, we had to deal with the FL playing hard to get and denying the ML in becoming his concubine for so many episodes like girl just say yes so you can live a comfortable life. i seriously dont understand her logic ;; it's very obvious that the ML loves her and will protect her for life, so why couldn't she just accept and end her suffering? even as a palace maid, would she be really free as she wanted? she's not. people like that mean concubine and others will constantly try to harm her etc. and anyway...now we are heading to the last episode ;; which is just a tragedy. the drama would be so much better if it just ended on ep 16. so many historical dramas end like that. when the couple is happy with a baby on their way like damn why did they have to do that? after everything they went through together they deserved a happy ending. .. (i know they got inspired by real life historical events i know that life back then was tragic, but still this is fiction..they could have avoided adding it? why are kdramas so obsessed with giving us tragedies as endings like seriously??)

bloodhounds - it was released a few months ago. i also remember him in Save me and he was pretty good there! but i'm sure he has played in other dramas too!
this drama wasn't bad but there are a few things that confused me...and i lost interest after the second half.. not to mention that the FL and ML get together too fast without even saying anything to each other? like in one episode the FL was treating ML harshly and in the next ep she runs in his arms crying like??? their romance developed pretty weird ...i don't even remember them talking a lot before ''getting together'' it was mostly one sided from the ML's side because of the ID card... what i REALLY enjoyed though was the Jo Yeong/ Eunsup scenes-interactions lmao. they were the best part of the drama for me.
