i've been wanting to watch this drama for a while now. i was mostly interested in it due to the retro setting because i love anything that has a retro setting, though i must say i was a little disappointed. i personally find anything related to gangsters very boring so i was ready to give up on this drama because some episodes were just full of that. luckily i managed to survive through it and just skipped the scenes. i was curious to see what would happen in the end, and i was also rooting for Lee Dohak's happiness poor boy has been through hell so i wanted to see him happy for once lol. so anyway i'm going to give this drama a humble 7.5. the cast did a great job and the ost was pretty good. the story could be better but oh well.
i wanted to watch something light and i stumbled across this drama on Viki! i binge watched it in 3 days and i really enjoyed it! ps. i think this is my 4th j-drama, am i slowly warming up to j-dramas lol? but of course k-dramas is what i will always prefer haha
i wanted to give this a chance out of mere curiosity (also because of the college setting since i enjoy college dramas). i think the drama in general isn't as bad as everyone says ''worse drama ever'' etc like i think it just depends on your taste. of course it's not my fave drama, but it wasn't bad. i enjoyed the first 8 episodes but i started to feel bored later on... i also don't really like the ML and the Fl as a couple. for me personally, they have no chemistry. idk whether it's the characters or the acting, but i just couldn't like them as a couple lol. i think the FL ending up with InHo would be much better, but oh well.
Yeah, the only disappointing thing of the finale was the court case. I don't think the proof was enough to arrest…
Yeah i feel like more investigation was needed but alas the drama was fun and honestly im glad it didnt focus as much on the bad guys and focused on the small town/mother son dynamic instead. i find dramas that focus too much on politics and corrupt things in general pretty boring and repetitive so
i have no knowledge with law but it feels like that court scene was a little messy and in real life it wouldn't happen this way ?? but other than that i really enjoyed the ending and the drama in general. it's definitely one of the best 2023 dramas! it's been a while since i watched a drama that i really enjoyed like seriously...there are so many dramas i've dropped or lost interest in...this one kept me intrigued until the end!
i decided to watch this after being a kdrama fan for two years. everyone is going crazy over it so i was curious...i was hesitant mostly because of the age gap thing? and i still do feel uncomfortable...i dont understand why they couldn't make the FL at least a college student from the beginning (like in her 1st year maybe?) but anyway, overall it was pretty enjoyable. the cinematography was the best for me you can tell this is the same director of mr sunshine. i also enjoyed the grim reaper and goblin's scenes the most.
i was hesitant to watch this because it's an old drama and most old kdramas are just.....not watchable, and unfortunately this wasn't watchable either. i only endured watching it while skipping scenes every episode. i was curious to watch it until the end since the story in general is interesting (the modern royal korea aspect etc.) but all the characters are so damn annoying. The FL, her friends, her family, the SFL, THE SML OOF, i also disliked the ML in the beginning but he grew on me later on. i truly hope the remake of this drama will be better and i'll be tuning in cause the premise of this story is interesting. it's a 7 for me (and yes i'm being kind with this rating lol)
ps. i think this is my 4th j-drama, am i slowly warming up to j-dramas lol? but of course k-dramas is what i will always prefer haha
