Mmmm I have Viki and all 3 dramas are available in there and in Youku English YouTube Page, but I think they were available some days after Youku broadcasted. What I mean is, they were available in their YouTube Page before Viki. I mean, they clearly have the ability to use their Youku International Plataform or the YouTube page they have, like Tencent uses WeTV or Iqiyi uses their plataform, so why not use it?
Youku knew this would be a great success, I mean having Ren Jia Lun and Dilraba Dilmurat as the leads, it was guaranteed success. They should have kept all broadcasted rights, both national and international, and broadcast at the same time everywhere (their Youku plataform and YouTube) and restrict access to it by membership payment. I am just saying they have winning dramas coming (Legend of Anle, Immortal Samsara and Till The End of the Moon) keep all rights and broadcast everywhere, like Tencent and Iqiyi does.
A sentence like that, we can draw some simple conclusions. It is a decent sum of money, that Youku got for that…
Well, I seem to remember that Youku dramas like Why Woman Love, My Bargain Queen and Because of Love were broadcasted at the same time as China or at least there was only days difference. Showing them in the YOUKU English YouTube Page they have.
I just do not understand their mentality, I see what you say, but do not understand the difference with other produced dramas within Youku, like the ones I mentioned previously. Or why Tencent, can be able to broadcast their dramas (ex. YAMG) in China and Internationally at the same time like they do, and not lose money.
A sentence like that, we can draw some simple conclusions. It is a decent sum of money, that Youku got for that…
As mentioned, I can understand that Youku wants to keep the profits to itself, but then they should not have let Croton have any share of it. Youku should have also kept international rights and broadcasted at the same time, like Tencent and Iqiyi does. They broadcasted in their plataforms at the same time for China and worldwide. I did not have to wait for China to finish airing the drama, to be able to watch YAMG, I saw it in WeTV Latin America at the same time China did, maybe a few days difference.
At the very least let Croton broadcast either at the same time as Non Youku subscribers in China or let them broadcast like a week after non youku subscribers are able to see the episodes released for the week. In short there are lots of ways to not make the international market wait such a long time. This drama was released in March, and we are only going to possibly be able to see it at the end of May.
A fan glued the most important part of the pre wedding night that was cut off. What went on in the head of the…
Woowww if they filmed this and not shown it, my God why did they take it out?! 😱😤 Now, I can see Allen has been doing kiss scenes as much as he feels comfortable with.
Well that's disappointing to hear, if true, but it's understandable. That being said, I think there are some fan…
I understand that Youku does not want to share the profits, God knows they deserve to have it only by themselves. But, I do not understand their mindset, I mean, Youku could have easily shown TBW in their international plataform at the same time as Tencent and Iqiyi does for VIP members worldwide. Or if they indeed sold the international rights to Croton, they could have told them to start showing at the same time and pace as Non Youku members, thereby avoiding the issue you mention with the VPN.
Either way, we cannot avoid the fact that they simply are not interested in the international market. I understand that China is the BIGGEST market there is and the most important, since these are cdramas after all, but the difference is astonishing.

So, then this means, Youku only cared for China broadcast and gave the international broadcast rights to Croton, with the BIG caveat that they only broadcast internationally, after the drama showing is finished in China for non-VIP Youku members.
From my point of view, then this means Youku is not interested in the international market, which is very dissapointing. Also, demanding that caveat is totally disregarding the international fans; like, we do not count in their mind as deserving to watch the drama at the same time as China. This make me like way more, Tencent and Iqiyi, they do take us into consideration and show rhe days they produce at the same time as China.
Can someone translate what was written in the document?
OMG thank you so much!!! They should have shown this scene in the drama to explain why she has a mermaid tail in the last episode. If they decided to change the ending from the book, at least they should explain it accordingly. Because it sound like the drama ending is open ended, with some swearing it's ChangYi's fantasy and others providing the same explanation as in that document. Hopefully, this explanation is indeed official.
Can someone translate what was written in the document?
Oh OK, hopefully it is official, because it appears they seriously messed up big time the ending from the book, which was a very HE and explained accordingly.
Ji Yunhe did take the evil into her body and threw herself into the lava, effectively dying. But, they (LHQ, the Grandmaster, ChangYi and Ji Yunhe) previously anticipated this would be necessary, so they split Ji Yunhe's inner pearl into two bodies, to create a "twin" and that is the one who sacrificed herself. While the original Ji Yunhe is safe in the house safeguarded by LHQ, LuoLuo, among others. Being reunited with ChangYi immediately after her "twin" sacrificed herself.

That's too bad for us international fans, hopefully they will. I just want to finally be able to see and understand what their are saying in the drama as soon as possible.
The April 22 date was always just a rumor. Croton hasn’t officially announced a date yet but from the increased…
Ok, that makes sense, but they could make it available in YouTube for membership paying viewers, that way they do not lose money, righ?? And it is not "widely" available, there will always be people who do not want to pay and will wait for it to be free.

By local TV stations you mean in Mainland China or a station abroad?? If it is in MC, why would they require them not to air the english subs before their local broadcast date?? I really don't understand the way Youku/Croton is doing all of these.

Ahhh that's great, in Latam we have it available in WeTv, which is where I plan watch it, once they have all the episodes released.
I am just too sad that we are still unable to see The Blue Whisper, Croton has just released English subs for 4 previews and no word still on when the English subs will be available for all the episodes of the drama.

WTRW... ahhh so the words were not in order, it should have been WRTW for Who Rules The World. So, this series is going to be available in Netflix US & Canada??
