Then I don't understand what does Croton/Youku get out of not providing English subs while in emission in mainland China. They could just charge us international viewers for membership, that what they have their payment like Iqiyi and WeTv do. Then it would be in our hands of we pay for VIP membership or not.

I can see where we differ hahaha, while for me a romance should also show intimacy, for you it is a bonus. You should watch Falling Into Your Smile and Love is Sweet they are so good. You Are My Glory is just so perfect, I love of so much. 😍

It does not make it ilogical, it just does not make it believable or credible, hahaha. How could you have a romantic relationship without real kisses or intimacy? That would just be platonic, and most if not all romantic relationships would fail without it. I do not like to imagine intimacy, they have to show it to me, thats what they are acting a story for. Anyway, I think I've been spoiled by dramas like Love is Sweet, You Are My Glory, Falling Into Your Smile, among other cdramas.

Well it goes both ways no?? What if we have an illogical romance without intimacy?? It also makes no sense, just like a trashy romance with intimacy, I would watch neither of those. I can sacrifice and watch a romance without intimacy, and also watch a romance with intimacy, as long as both are well written and make sense. Intimacy does not equate to trashy romance, just like no intimacy does not equate to beautiful romance. The first leaves us wanting a story and the second leaves us wanting intimacy.

I respect his choice, but to be clear, respect does not imply acceptance of a persons choice. So, I can also say that it detracts from the romantic "credibility", at least in my case and I've read others think the same. To some it does not matter, to others it does, but in this case, I'll just have to endure dramas without real intimacy and kisses, since the novels they are based on are way too good. I'll just need to read the book to get the real and credible feelings the author intended and wanted to communicate.

Yes, each actor emotes differently, its part of the beauty of each person, they imprint their uniqueness in their acting. I can't see Allen replacing Xu Kai, nor the other way around. Since Allen replacing Xu Kai in, for example Falling Into Your Smile, would also mean no intimacy nor kisses. Xu Kai replacing Allen in Forever and Ever would mean having more intimacy and kisses. Making each of these dramas way too different altogether from the one presented.

Xu Kai, Vengo Gao, Deng Lun, Steven Zhang, Leo Yunxi, to name a few. All of them can portray amoruos and tragic emotions through the eyes alone too. I can understand that he is really famous and has lots of fans, and what I say is controversial, but that is how I feel.

As always he and all his fans can do whatever they want, I just feel it's a disservice to the story and the fans of said story. I am not saying he should provide Bridgerton's style intimacy, GOD NO!!! That is just too much for me, but Love is Sweet level or even You Are My Glory level, is enough.

Please note, that I am not saying he is a bad actor, he is an excellent and awesome actor, it just too bad he mixes his work life with his private life, by refusing to provide intimacy in his dramas.

Ok, so hopefully after next week, maybe the beginning of May, english subs could be released.

And no kiss scenes make up for a "realistic" romantic relationship?? Then I don't know how people in love maintain a relationship without kissing each other, beacuse kissing is "not" important, right?? Acting is to make real the story, and kissing is part of romance, as far as I am concerned.

I understand what @dooh is saying though, I mean Allen IS an excelente and awesome actor, but maybe he should consider getting out of the romance and romance/comedy dramas?? He could do other type of dramas, that do not require him to act out kiss scenes. He could do serious military dramas or murder thrillers, etc, there are so many genres for him to pick.

I mean, its not like he is the only great actor there is in China who can act and emote though his eyes, other actors do that and also do great kisses. I can understand that for some, kisses are not required in a romance, but please, just one in kiss in Forever and Ever and a very lukewarm at that, when the novel was hot on those kisses, its just laughable and a tragedy.

So local broadcaster is like the local TV, right?? Like for US would be ABC, HBO. Fox, NBC, etc?? And in S. Korea it would be SBS, MBC, etc??

I can understand what you are saying, but then do you mean to say that Iqiyi and WeTV are loosing out on some money themseleves, by making the English subs available to International fans at the same time as chinese fans?? I do not belive WeTV and Iqiyi are so nice as to knowingly lose money, when they could make more, as per Croton's way. Why is Youku or Croton different??

When you say S Korea will be airing TBW, in which plataform is that or would it be in a local station of theirs or in YouTube??

I am also waiting for the official sub release to join Croton, after all I just want to see TBW. If they do not produce english subs, why would I pay them?

I think too that the english subs are coming soon. Once I see them published in Croton, I swear I'll pay them as soon as they publish the subs and drama.

You know, I think I now get Croton's plan. They decided to divide the premiers, one for mainland China and another for the rest of the world. This way, they are thinking to extend the presence and viewership of TBW. Once mainland China finishes watching the drama and have moved onto, for example, Who Rules The World, then they (Croton) can still extend TBW presence and viewership with the international fans. They want to have their cake and eat it TWO times.

Of course, they also want to take and make more money from international broadcasters, since the demand must be through the roof at this moment. So, the broadcaster would now be willing to pay big money for broadcasting rights. And it is, at this moment, when the subs would then be released. This business model feels extortionate and just plain blackmail to me, I do not think much of their business ethics, but their understanding of the international market and their product (TBW drama), is spot on.

I'll pay, I'll totally pay!!! If they just release the English subs for all episodes, they can see me paying them. I love to binge watch dramas, so I would be very happy if they released it like that. 😊

I think the English subtitles are coming soon. Why do I feel this?? Because Croton Mega Hit has recently released a trailer with ENGLISH SUBTITLES (https://youtu.be/H4Ti0NcM2JI).

Hopefully soon, we'll finally have the english subs we've been asking for. I have WeTv, Iqiyi and Viki memberships, I am waiting to see where they make available English subtitles for TBW to pay that membership (could bring Croton or Youku).

I also have membership to Iqiyi and WeTV, so that I would be able to see the dramas subtitled and help the creator plataform. Those 2 plataforms do deluver subtitles, so my money is well spent.

On the other hand, I was going to pay Youku or Croton, depending on who would make the subtitles available in LATAM, but they've let me down spectacularly. I am now worried for Immortal Samsara, The Legend of Anle and Till The End Of The Moon, all Youku dramas. I hope I am wrong, but I am thinking that they maybe will not have English subtitles.😭🤬

I am heartbroken.... I've been waiting for this drama for a long tome now and to not be able to see it and understand what they are saying... 😭💔
