Japan Film/TV industry will always surprise you with its unique storylines, characters, their styles and the they way they looks, and it will make sense as everyone has a perfect place in the story and how they close/end the story.
I will not lie, if I was less affectionate towards this series than others JP has been blessing us in abundance on Fridays for past six or seventh months continuously.
But I did fell for it seeing how much I was invested in the efforts of character Hisashi, sure it is not your usual gay character and since when JP has ordinary characters??? Aren't you used to it yet?
Disappointment is another thing, I was sad just reading people comment on several sites that how they judge and lynch someone based on looks whether it is character or actor.
I love this series, and like many other it has flaws, but it has nothing to do with someone face or personality.
Love this series and I am glad I like this because i like this, not because of someone looks or else...
With how major the issue of bullying is, they are keeping it real.
the theme is bullying, but it is not graphic. there are series where there is much more graphic bullying but this one is not graphic. it is definitely blood boiling but punishment has to be satisfying.
Some people will hate because of girls while they will like bunch of boys bulling each other while calling that…
That is an wrong assumptions to make. Bullying is not gender specific. It is crime committed against one person to an other. It has no other favor.
Bullying in any form, any space or time is unforgivable act, unfortunately world or societies living in it, sees it as a form of superiority and societies like Korea sees as it culture.
It needs to be criminalized and set punishment for it.
The fact that a schools allows such stupid game is unbelievable, but the depiction and the monsters coming out in that regard is real as hell.
So boys or girl, bullying is a crime and crime and crime nothing else.
I thought KIH was joking when he said he likes FL I thought he world help HT to get the girl. But this turns Ont to be a mess in the middle of succession war and poverty. Also FL is equally interesting. I hope the Succession war is successful but as the first scene shows things will go down. This series is odd. Everything is so quick that It is not allowing the characters to settle in plus LJY has been doing evil roles in a now true him playing positive role feels not right.
I love FL character, the way he confronts ML at every step for being nosy and the last scene where she vent on him for being wrong and rage a war by accepting offer was so satisfying.
I see very bleak ending for SML, though the step siblings will do anything to shred the brothers and I fear for LDH, that they will expose in worst way possible.
So correct me If I am wrong, the mother was the daughter of Chairman but she wanted to marry someone else, but married his grandfather choice, band in the end she left all and married her lover and had MLs, so whose the other children are? I mean they are not rightful owners if MLs are the sons of Chairman's daughter and hence the direct lineage of his family. And other children are MLs mother first husband who didn't divorced her even after she left him because of money and married someone else and those 3 bastards? Is that correct? If this is true they have nerve to claim the children of Lee's family. And Chairman is crazy.
if you look closely both Lee's looks like brothers, ever since I saw them, I used to forget who is who, and now they finally have a series together, it is going to be so good. As LJY has proven himself as an amazing actor.
LJW started off so good with romantic ML, but I don't know what happened, he started getting this a mellow, a bully or being bullied type roles, he needs asap ML roles with A list co-stars.
In this series also he is being bullied approached by rich bastard pretending to be friend, or perhaps friend turning enemies, I fear he will have bad fate. But since it is 12 episodes, it will be very quick.
it is nor right to liat this seties as Asian. it is produced by 3 studios that are american and executive producers who are American-Japanese plus this is based on English novelist and prime plot is British subject with his Asian Saga. So this is not asian perspective but an English man writing his perspective and experiences when he took part in WWll and afterwards as POW. So this is not okay to lost this series here.
