The reason why he had to die, because JungHyun got sick playing the role, as he really wanted to show how a person with cancer looks like. He tried method acting and effected his helath seriously. He was diagnosed with undisclosed disease and it took him a year or to recover before he made a guest role in Crash Landing on You. He is coming back starting from 2021.
This is her first project since TIME. And regarding, TIME, it is one of the most depressing Korean drama of all time. Her acting, and Kim Jung Hyun performance is out of the world in that drama, but i just couldn't watch it.
I hope PL, brings something exciting, not really looking for romance buildup, a good strong female lead story is all we need right now.

Only if they could understand like this. But they wont. It is a hot mess. And the producers will rush it in last 2 epsiodes and be prepared for a 2-3 epsiodic breakup of lead and then bittersweet ending.
You are being too critical. BL is something not even common in SK, so it is like a baby steps they are taking and actors who are playing are actually risking their career by choosing such roles. I agree, far better BL are there but given it still something in its very initial stages, their efforts are praise worthy. Regarding this series there weren't "multiple" plot lines, it had only one, and focus on series of 10-12 minutes was solely on male leads. They could have made more mature content, or something exceptional, it still doesn't swayed me from the fact, these things requires money and good production values, which are extremely rare for BL industry, in a country who does not even acknowledge it existence.
So be patient, as more content gonna come. If this continues like that.

As I said, earlier If I were to critique this drama, I would give 0, because it has too many plot holes and non-sense.
But I didn't because it is a complete recipe made to hit. Stellar cast, rating achiever plot so they couldn't care less if going north they should take count all accurate stuff. They did their best and plus, this is one fo those dramas, if you critique and look for accuracies you will end up hating it.
It has famous leads, chemistry top notch, cinematography class, background score melo and romantic, separation, hatred, strong personalties, tension between love, grief, unspoken love between leads, bad female family, powerful male family, and good old gang of male friends who protect their sister in law at any cost. Plus all side character never felt ordinary.
So I am not sure or dare to go as far as to look for accuracies for drama like this it is simple, typical, cheesy and cliche Korean drama - that I would watch again and again. And frankly speaking apart from some 1% Korean dramas, all are out of the line, that falls no where near accuracy.
I didn't like any of this writer's previous works. Dropped two and fast forwarded the third just for the sake…
Yes this series hasn't explored her full potential, she feels like a total side character, even though she is second in billed cast. IDK, why they made her character like that, if the focus was ML only.
