Nam Yoon-su isn’t here to play it safe—he’s here to make a statement. Taking on a gay role in a society that still shies away from LGBTQ+ narratives isn’t just bold; it’s fearless. The criticism he’s facing? That’s not his burden. It’s the world’s refusal to see the value of stories that matter, stories that challenge the status quo and redefine what love and humanity look like on screen.

NYS isn’t wrong—he’s a force. He’s standing up, knowing full well the backlash he’d receive, but choosing to do it anyway because telling a real story is more important than the comfort of playing it safe. He’s not bending to outdated notions of what’s “acceptable” or “easy” for audiences. Instead, he’s stepping up to represent a love that’s raw, unapologetic, and real.

Critics will always be there, but so will trailblazers like NYS. And right now, he’s blazing a path others were too afraid to walk. This isn’t just a role—it’s a powerful call to see, to understand, and to break free from ignorance. He’s redefining the narrative, and that’s not just acting—that’s revolution.

Yes, NYS, isn’t the first actor to step into a gay role, but he’s the one no one saw coming—and that’s exactly why it matters. People didn’t expect it from him, and that’s what makes his choice so powerful. He’s not fitting into anyone’s preconceived mold, and that’s where his strength lies. He’s breaking through the quiet stereotypes, the whispered assumptions, and showing that love, identity, and bravery don’t belong to just one kind of person—they belong to all of us.

He’s challenging expectations, dismantling the predictable, and proving that real change happens when you least expect it. He’s shaking up the game, and the world should take notice.

Cut and uncut version has not much difference, only EP 01 was bit longer, but now 2 and 3 were of same lenght, it is like bad for people VIP, as some ep are uncut and some are same s cut.

Felt like a filler episode, a very slow one at that. May be I'm just too impatient for the Johan/North track to…
duhh...it has freaking 16 ep, so it will be long and long as eff for all the CP to come about.

KJH is one of the best actors Korea has produced. He is a method actor who dives deep into his characters and is extremely versatile. Unfortunately, despite the success of CLOY and Queen along with his other significant roles, it wasn't enough to propel him to megastar status. Although his filmography isn't extensive, given his talent, I hope he gains more roles and becomes more active in films and TV, if that's his intention.

It is damn true that when primetime (short drama, as Korean recognize 16-episodic series as such) actors (in bulk not one or two) do weekend drama, the productions are uplifted. Usually weekend drama are filmed with Sony FS7/X9 or Canon C300/500 or even simple broadcast cameras for scenes with lower production demands, such as indoor family settings or dialogues, as they are easy to operate, allow for quick adjustments, and can handle long, continuous shooting.

Cameras such as ARRI, Sony Venice or Red Komodo/Helium were used in past for weekend dramas, such as Once Again was the most recent 100EPs (50 if count as 60 minutes) series that was filmed with high-end production cameras.

Here the camera work is pretty good, and does not make it a typical family/weekend drama, so this is the first weekend drama after Once Again, that is good with characters, story and above all acting, no fu*king shouting, panting, plotting, dying, and screaming. I know there will be frustrating elements, but it has passed the test for weekend drama, after so much failure of past weekend drama from any channel.

I heard there will be now less episodic weekend dramas (30 to 40 ep), so hope they uplifts the production values, and get rid of the old studio sets, and lights that makes them very obvious.

ps. A Korean actor who has portrayed a gay role in the past can never truly fade from the spotlight. I guess his time has come, and it's just a matter of hitting that lucky break.

It is abomination to rate this drama lower than 8.9 to 9. It just tells that people really don't have an eye for good script, writing, acting, and technical details of show, and how rare it is to get all of these right on level of super satisfaction if not the best.

Kudos to the team of this production, that despite challenges of making them sing pansori, even though they are not singers and then they sound engineered their voices with the voice over pansori singers, is amazing.

There were parts, where you could feel, SYE is not singing and it is not her voice, but then after some seconds, it matches her tone and become so enjoyable, same goes with KTR.

Well I absolutely agree there is no need for male counterparts, but it wouldn't hurt to see someone pure, lovable, and kind falls for NJN and supports her in all his might and fight for her dream with her.

ps. can't wait for HYS to know who NJN mother is, and how NJN will always be number 1, and will never go down like her mother did. I know, HYS is not evil, she tries to please her mother, but at the end she will be exhausted and come to know her true worth is not selling her art for the sake of any validation but hers and hers only, and she will be NJN partner in the ends, so she will be good.

ps2. JEC is fu*kign gorgeous, pretty as well handsome, yesterday her seen with NJN in her home, my eyes were fixated on her without me even noticing....damn beautiful.

Don't typecast SYE into jerk and negative roles, she is a FL and supposed to be in main roles, don't maker her powerful side roles. I don't wana hate her, hope in this series, she is healthy and tough competitor, rather than a bully, nasty and villain.

This is what you call a story, that is original, authentic, Korean through and through, that reflects art, love, culture, passion, dream, hardships and embodied all emotions of human form.

Love it, just it, the production values are way too high for any drama these days, the writing, the direction, voices, visual effects, sound design, voice overs, and of course acting, KTR has always been lucky to get the script that shines through everything,

With a career that is not long, she has managed to bring all her characters into spotlight without any apology, they are bold, apparent, vibrant and contains lots of energy.

Her theater experience worked very well for this role.

9/10...first ep seal the deal, and it is going to be equal good, without fillers, since it is 12 ep.

It is good, keeps me hooked, it is drama mystery, so obviously no action...these days Korea trying to copy US style too much that it kills it essence.

Huge issue with Shinning type house, the corridors, dark shades and all, the house they live is no less than a horror house, I mean it is indeed adding to the mystery, but that is not what is the purpose of story...the long shots of corridors and doors, is seriously a copy-paste from US style.

Lets see how it pans out, as I like drama-mystery and for now because of ML, I want to continue.

I love Earth...he hasn't changed at all, his acting style and behaviour is same as we first got to know him. But If I have to be honest Earth acting is not that great, he really needs to improve and go for different roles, if he is serious about it. Otherwise people love him because he is honest in his all forms. But I also want to see him excel in acting skills as well, he has talent, he needs to polish it.

Pond is a class actor, in just 2 ep he nailed his love sick personality, as the way he looks at Earth, as if he exist for him. His eyes speak dialogues. Because of his this acting, there is electrifying chemistry and makes me want to continue.

Comparing with original is never fair for any adaptation, so please stop saying that this scene is not there, that scene is different, as long as the story is same and the essence is there...all of the other things are purely cultural dependent, so it can't be same, it must not be same...and it is 16 not 40 ep of 45 minutes, so they have to condense to adjust in Korean 1 hours EP format. I am satisfied so far, so I hope people take them different as GA can't be FBC and FBC can't be GA. it is very simple.
On Every You, Every Me Oct 9, 2024
So is this anthology series? Given next ep previous their setting is different, so in each timeline they met and fall and there is no 1 string attaching the story, they won't know they are falling in same lifetime, it is just them in different setting falling over and over...
On Family by Choice Oct 9, 2024
Hope for three things are just as same as original:

1- Her adoptive brother quick acceptance that he is her family and they can't be lovers
2-Quick resolve of ML Mother hatred towards FL and her forcing SFL to ML
3-the bitch ML sister and her attitude

Hope they go on with these three things like original as Korea is no 1 in exaggeration of all the fucking emotions that ruins the essence of story most of the times.

ps. CN is comm. country, so they can't show anything immoral or controversial, so they quickly resolve the issue. Thats why the brother love triangle and mother hatred and her forcing his son with other FL was resolved in just 2 ep without any dragging.
On Addicted Heroin (Uncut Ver.) Oct 8, 2024
Finished watching EP10.

Congratulations for being one of the worst adaptation in Thai Bl history and one of the worst overall.

Literally no meaning to story, butchered everything and ending is just ridiculous, such a waste of time on this, I thought it would be better, but writer failed miserably writing a story that already existed...they just had to add Thai elements or improvise it, but they completely murdered the story and presented as it is...

I feel sorry for actors, they are pretty, handsome and more than ok actors, August is experienced actor, and Mac did fine hob, but production values and writing were too unbearable for them to overcome.

Worst, just worst!!!

ps. For future prospect watchers, stay away from this disaster.
