Been months but: hate it when fls are so oblivious to the ml being absolutely in love w her for a long time UNTIL the script says "go!" and she conveniently removes her blindfold. Also, she became dumb af after a few episodes. The outfits, editing and music placement only made it more bland to my taste.

So, is there a serious main conflict in this one(assuming you've watched till far if not the end)? It was good, but there wasn't a serious enough conflict or mystery to make me keep watching, unlike in dramas like the untamed and tteotm. I've watched till like ep 10 and i don't wanna waste my time. :D

That much is true. But this isn't a critique site(at least, not professional), and neither are most of us actual critics. We're just watchers and enjoyers and are sharing our frank experiences of dramas in the comments. If you want criticism, you can check out the reviews.

And i do get the douyin cute doll acting you're talking about. I see it. But I've seen worse, I've seen so many clumsy and tryhard cute and innocent FLs, this is pretty digestible to ME. I just like it. 🤷
Regarding boat, Pan Yue mentioned he came there prepared when he was surrounded by the boss of life and death…
That makes sense but the way they fell straight into the boat and landed on their feet, right in the middle of it felt unrealistic, but it is a Chinese drama so 🤔 I'm probably just nitpicking haha!
I mean, I'm not a good judge of acting tbh but imo she's doing fine. I've seen worse. I've seen cringe FLs. I've seen childish FLs. I've seen tryhard cute FLs. This is FINE.
I don't get the rating at all. The writing is good and refreshing. Of course there are plotholes(how was there a boat right below the balcony, and they didn't even fall on it after the jump??), but i don't see any lazy writing, at least. From the moment it starts, the music is captivating and perfectly composed for the mood. The costumes are gorgeous to look at, and the acting is good too. But of course, people have preferences(of rating lazily written dramas w big budget and popular actors highly). 🤡
The tags say, romance fantasy but the trailer makes the show seem pretty much action fantasy. Is this more of a rom com/drama or smth darker/high stakes? I'd appreciate any hints! ^~^
