I think she's more on the bad side than good. She is just a toy that the andong kims use for their benefit and she just lets them. She is definitely bad for our King and Queen but at the same time she's just trying to survive like everyone else in the palace.

Something tells me Hong Yeon is gonna die. I don't know why but seeing the queen cherish her a lot and the confession scene of Kim Hwan when he asks her to have a long happy life (something along those lines) I feel the tear jerker part of this drama quickly approaching.

The development of Beongin into the main villain was so satisfying.

In the beginning, his characterization was too absurd for me and for once instead of a second lead syndrome I was annoyed ever time he showed up. Then the later episodes when he was making all sorts of effort for the queen, I started to sympathize with him, almost got the SLS. BUT THEN HE WENT BACK AT IT BEING A JEALOUS HEARTBROKEN B*TCH AND I'M LOVING IT.

I started the drama hating his character and I'm gonna end with loving it. Who knew this drama could make me stan a villain. Second lead syndrome for all the wrong reasons lmaoooo

I put away this drama for 4 freaking years because (as my display picture might suggest) I am a big fan of Junyeol and I wasn't ready to deal with the pain of seeing his character lose the love battle haha. I regret that decision now because this has easily made my list of all-time favorite dramas which I would lose my memory for just so that I could watch it again.

The love triangle and the pain that comes with it is definitely one of the reasons this drama is popular for and one of the reasons why it might make you start watching it but you finish it with getting attached to the neighborhood that this drama took place at. Doesn't make sense? Watch to know ;)

In the future episodes we get to see why the Kims think they have the king in the palms of their hands and why the king is treated as a joke by everyone, but even then my comment above still stands.

The recent most episode (8th) was my favorite. The queen going through emotions she herself is shocked by and saying "this woman needs to get out of my body" while doing some weird tactic every 2 minutes and leaving the king absolutely puzzled lmaooo

The preview for the next episode has me excited!! I think bonghwan in queen's body+the king are gonna be the end game.

The number of times Byungin ignores and crosses his boundaries with the king makes no sense at all. Kim clan or not, the king has all the rights to get anyone beheaded with a snap of his fingers. Byungin's character had a lot of potential but a lot of his doings make no sense for the joseon period.

This drama was the cutest till ep 14. Jaewook's first lead role was so satisfying until the writers f*cked it all up. Well, whats done is done I just hope Lee Jaewook's next lead role is in a drama that's enjoyable till the very end. He deserves more love and much better writers.

Anyhow, for anyone planning to watch this, absolutely do it. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT!! but just till the 15th episode and then watch just the last 4 minutes of the 16th episode and it'll be a satisfying drama :D
