If you wanna watch this drama you can watch the movie version (Secret fruit) instead. This drama is watchable but for a plot so simple they dragged it too much.
They aren't! and are very good dramas :D Everyone has a hard time guessing if the drama is dubbed or not if they are new to cdrama world (I did too haha) But its quiet obvious after a while because you get used to the language and can tell when the actors make lip-sync mistakes. Also, the actors who's voices you already know, will give it away. (This happened to me with Simon Gong, I loved him in 'Love equations' (its one of my favourite cdramas) and hence checked out 'Flavor, it's yours', but it was dubbed and it was so disappointing.)
Many Chinese dramas do (even the super popular meteor garden was dubbed). Usually its to hide the actors' accents (China is super regional and there are many many different dialects and not everyone can speak mandarin fluently and without an accent.) The voice dubs use absolute standard mandarin to make it understandable for everyone. Also they sometimes do it for new actors who still aren't able to express the required emotions through dialogue.
The subs say, "Doctor's Son will be back". Was there supposed to be a second season that was never made?
I don't think so. Considering the kind of story it is, and the way we lost so many key characters, there was no way we'd get a season 2. I think it was just a closing ment instead of a hint to a potential continuation.
I'm in the 4th episode and have already been served with all the clichés an Asian drama can possibly have -- the ML giving up his jacket to a cold FL, accidental kiss, childhood acquaintances, FL on her period and ML buying pads for her, forceful wrist grabs and drags, ML tying FL's shoe laces, I could go on and on and on teehee so I'm gonna need a strong something from the storyline of this drama if I'm to keep watching because up till now bailu is the only one that keeps me going.. Will update y'all later!
UPDATE: I'm now at ep 11 and oh boy was I wrong when I thought I wouldn't fall for this drama. The story line definitely got interesting from the 6th ep onwards and I don't mind the clichés anymore hehe (the leads make it all so much more cuter). In conclusion, do not give up on this drama! You'll be missing out.
DROP THE REVIEWS AND JUST WATCH IT!! I dropped this show twice before I got back and continued and I did not regret it all! The starting few episodes are boring but thats just the drama developing its character stories. Its a wonderful show worth at least one watch. It finishes leaving you with happiness and motivation. ALSO MAY I ADD THE COMEDY PART OF THIS DRAMA. Had me laughing and giggling and s*it. Overall a wholesome show. Also the FL did a good job being mentally 17, anybody else doing it would probably be awkward.
