Would I be too greedy if I wish the Queen and the King to end up together? Haha. I just want to think that the…
SAME. I think that their souls were swapped so that they could be humbled for the better in their own worlds. I don't know if Soyong's soul has entered Byonghwan's body in the present world but the preview for the 6th ep made it seem like it did.
I have also started pitying the king? Because Hwajin doesn't seem as innocent as she tries to be. I have my doubts about the actual Soyong too (because of the convo between Hwajin and Soyong by the lake) but that could have been The Andong Kim clan's doing. The king just seems very lonely. I hope he doesn't end up like that till the end and gets his queen.
can someone give a gist of what the misunderstanding on no touch is..i mean more than him interpreting it as "need…
The king thinks 'no touch' means to make each other happy by keep each other's interest in mind. That's what the queen said when the king asked for an explanation in the early episodes. She (or he lol) was too tired to explain it further and it just stayed like that lmao. In the latest episode (6th) the king asks the queen "lets do no-touch" thinking her interest is in having the king's heart, bearing his heir and all that.
Idol actors aren't my thing (except for a few exceptions) because they are usually pushed into acting just because of their visuals. In the case of Eunwoo, his acting has improved so much. As an Astro fan I was sad seeing him being pushed into acting and receiving such heavy criticism.
His scene in the 5th episode proves that he has gotten much better.
I was team Seojun reading the webtoon but I'm team Suho watching the drama (It has more to do with the plot change rather than the actors but I wouldn't have done that if Suho's role wasn't believable acting, so that's saying something. )
This drama started with the leads doing things that can annoy certain people. It then got super sweet and fluffy in the middle and became enjoyable. Then it got draggy for no reason, I had to skip the last 4 episodes so badly I completed them in less than an hour.
7/10 for me. Watchable if you have just come outta watching a very heavy drama.
You made me watch this drama! I had been putting it away for a while now but you made me take the final step. To answer your questions, I'm now at ep. 14 and I'm falling in love with the leads the way they are falling for each other, slowly and without realizing.
This drama was probably one of the dramas that did the cold man-warm woman cliché justice. Even with his 'cold' nature the ML was always the sweetest munchkin!! I had zero expectations seeing the cold-man AND contract relationship tag but he surprised me.
Also I forgot I was even watching a teacher-student relationship, even when Yun Shu was drooling over Zhang Sinian in the classroom haha. Usually, age gap stories aren't my forte but this didn't even feel like it. The chemistry between the leads was top tier.
I do think opposites attract, but definitely not always. YS and ZS are both opposites and ZS fell for YS seeing traits he didn't have, in her (and vice versa!). And that also made them gain respect for each other (YS at ZS because of his intellect and ZS at YS because of her warmth) if I were to have a love story, this would be it.
yeah, what did QS did think Song Siyi would try with her friends there? Lowkey SS is more mature than QS.
for real! Especially the way he reacted after being rejected. I hope the future episodes involve YQ telling QS that he needs to learn how to let go a little or I'm gonna finish this drama with a bitter heart for QS.
Yes, many plot holes.. & i don't understand why Yerim's father brought the radioactive material w/ him to Sth…
I think they were running away with it after their research was successful because leaving it in the hands of the North's government would be dangerous for the civilians? Like we see in the 1st episode, the couple was being searched for by the north's soldiers because they wanted the material. Also, radioactive materials can't be destroyed.
For the congressman it was greed. For Song Minkyu it was the promise of a better future (becoming a General was…
For power. Having a dangerous research material from the North under your jurisdiction meant an easy path into having everyone under your control. At least that's what I understood.
I have a question,Why was the congressman so obessed with that substance?and also why was Song Min kyu obsessed…
For the congressman it was greed. For Song Minkyu it was the promise of a better future (becoming a General was his goal which he expected he'd reach if he showed his loyalty to the congressman)
If you haven't watched this drama atleast once you are missing out on one of the best kdramas to ever exist. This is probably the first kdrama that made me laugh as much as I did. It took me a long time to finish this watching it because I kept repeating scenes as they were so fucking funny (and I'd laugh every single time). Each character shines so brilliantly and each of them wins your heart.
The only thing I didn't like about it is how they rushed hanyang's story in the end. I liked the way it ended (it was the most appropriate way), but I wish they had given it a lil more than just rushing it to the end.
ALSO MAY I ADD THE SOUND EFFECTS. The bird tweeting every time one of them messes up is always gonna play in my head lmao.
I think this movie could have been made better, it had a strong potential but the directing was bad and the dialogues were meh too. I loved the main actors especially Kim Sungchul....and these actors were what kept me watching it till the end. Easily skippable movie but do watch it if you like any of the starring actors.
