Well, that's a wrap... not sure if there will be a season 2 or not. I really hope so, just to tie up some lose ends. In an Instagram post, the director seemed open to it... he also said that there would be a novel and potentially an international broadcast (which makes all my work pointless XD). Thank you guys for watching, it was my first time subbing a drama, and I learned a lot about the process. Let me know what you think about the ending or the show in general. I'll write a complete review later. And if anyone is seeing this comment first, and would like to watch the series, here is the link for Episode 1: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x824jto
My thoughts: ahhh wtf wtf wtf. I have no clue what the writers are thinking. We'll see what happens... either ep 46 was a dream, some type of alternate timeline set off when the gang last entered the outlet, or Jing Xue isn't dead and will make a recovery within 4 episodes. The writing is all over the place, but at least the show is entertaining, and somewhat unique. Also, where is Yao Ting? Is she gonna come to their rescue?
Next week is the final stretch. It's not the best drama in the world but I think it's definitely worth watching. It has the same problem as a lot of dramas... it kind of loses it's way towards the end. The mysterious post story line wasn't my favorite, but I'm excited to know what happens with Paul and Love Outlet. Also, CW (suicidal thoughts from a side character) for episode 37.
Well, that took a turn. I wasn't expecting it to be full on BL or anything, but I'm disappointed because we could have at least had a gay character in Xiao Chuan. Taiwanese dramas definitely are big on queerbaiting and BL-lite. I definitely lostsome of my interest in the show, but we just passed the halfway point, so I have to finish translating. :P We've barely seen Wayne, but I'm sure he'll pop up more towards the end as conflict for our main couple.
Also, if anyone has already watched ep 24, I changed the translation a little bit to be more consistent with today's episode. Xiao Chuan said, "wo mei you xihuan youhe", which I translated as "I never used to like You He", because I thought it was clear he liked him at the moment. Chinese doesn't have tense, so it is unclear if he is talking about the past, the present, or both. But now since we learned he doesn't like him, I changed it to "I never liked You He".
Of course, I am still watching Love´s outlet. It looks interesting, i think that drama is slowly progressing…
I'm glad at least one person is watching it! haha. I agree, I like BL more, and would prefer the two male leads to end up together, but i don't think that will happen, since this is a mainstream Taiwanese drama. I tried watching the video on my phone, and the subs appeared. Not sure what the problem is... maybe a problem with your phone?
Are people still watching this? Any thoughts on the show? I noticed the rating is kinda low.
I have decided to switch to softsubs rather than hardsubs... the picture quality seems to be much better. If anyone wants me to add their language, I can translate the subtitle file.
Episodes 17 and 18 are on dailymotion now. See you on Monday for the next 2 episodes.
but there was one scene I couldn't understand, what happened when Ohaew tried to tag others on the table? it seemed…
I think it's pretty clear there's gonna be something between Jai and Oh Aew... he said "Follow me"... and in Ep. 1 he gave Oh Oew a pretty intense stare (Also, I think we can assume that from the season trailer too, but I try to forget what I saw in the trailer once the show starts)
It just made it's premiere in Cannes, so I'm not sure when it will be released.
