This show somehow managed to make these two to be together, to have bedscenes, to say I love you (even the aishiteru kind)... AND all this to NOT be exciting. How come? It's hard to say. This series is short. I noticed that most j-dramas with short runtime share certain absurdity feel. It all happens with a speed of a lightning, sometimes quite extreme stuff. Same stuff which, perhaps, we would be able to accept, if delivered more slowly. Here's a good kiss, good bedscene, and with two guys at that. Did we not wait FOR AGES for that? But we waited in long, traditional j-dramas. In which we had a couple we openly, or secretly shipped. Delivered here, on a silver platter, them saying "aishiteru", literally after a few scenes they (overall) had together...? You tell me how it feels. Then, one scene later they say break-up... It's like there is no difference either way.
Sigh dropped after finishing ep7 I read comments of Next episodes nd it sure looks like a mess nd it's the kind…
If you dropped at epi 7 then does it mean you won't write another 100 comments on this drama? For a while it looked like you'd need your own comment section LOL
Who wakes up & decide to give themselves the nickname "Pancake?" 🤦🏿♀️ Never mind I forgot we have…
Well, they're thai, so naturally it's not cool enough for a person to have a thai name. So, everyone has a cool english nickname like 'Book', or 'Candle' or 'Table' or 'Stool' to be cooler.
This Remake is so........ MEH......... More than anything else. It's like each and every episode is a carbon copy of the original MINUS all that chemistry. There is a woman character walking around with her name literally being 'Kiss', but the chracters on this version don't kiss. No one even cracks a smile about how ridiculous name she has, they all say it with a straight face. The whole show is just going through the motions, without any of the emotions. I just like, literally don't care whether I Complete this or Drop this.
Okay, completed this after Chap's EIGHT previous tick-tock "dramas" and am quite fed up. Now, moving on 'The Tuxedo', which will hopefully, FINALLY, be a proper drama with Chap, else I'm done with him LOL
2023, just being progressive with boy on boy romance is NOT enough anymore. Episode 4's short runtime spent third of its time on a flasback, question is whether its little sap backstory really makes the annoying, grown-up Tae Hyun suddenly likeable to a viewer. To me, it does not. It annoyed me that he affected Da Yeol's performance in the archery match. He acted "like girl", brought emotion-swayed into the sportmanship (losers do it). The other guy was clearly better (his actor was better too, btw) but Da Yeol still won for some stupid reason... Moving on to Tae Hyun's pathetic "suicide attempt" (more girly behavior & bad acting), if anything, I wished he'd really died or left and the show's focus shifted to someone else (I'm not the one who brought the death possibility in, so don't blame me) and perhaps be more watchable. Alas, no. DROPPED.
Love it how the FL immediately falls for him and pursues him without giving up.
Oh, no. "Female Chases Male First", this drama? It does not list in the Tags. Yeah, I wonder why FL went for him since the 1st minute, I would be irritated by a guy who is called Gun (sorry, but LOL) and obviously tries to avoid as much as saying Hi to me. She offers a handshake, which he refuses (like, seriously), on which her reaction is to tell him that he's handsome. And that in case he has no girlfriend, she is available. Now tell me it's NOT women's fault that good looking men have absolutely terrible personality:-D (I'm courteously leaving out the fact that for me he is NOT that great, he's from Ugly Haircut Country.) That they never really properly court their girl or fight for her, and that you need to watch Romance to see it.
This show will forever remain in my watchlist, nothing has nudged me to watch it
That's one way of dealing with it, I guess:-) LOL On the other hand, checking out just first thing on your profile, what show DID nudge you to watch it: 'High School Return of a Gangster' (2024) Now, let's not read the Synopsis, no one is interested in THAT. Just Genres & TAGS. Genres: Life, Youth, Fantasy (Ow) Tags: Censored Adaptation Of Same-sex Original Work, Gangster Male Lead, School Bullying, Unusual Friendship, Reincarnation, Body Swap OKAY no further Comment needed LOL ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wanna know 1 thing that's good about 'Law Cafe'? NONE of those. LOL
Okay, epi 5 out of 8 and I'm already bored......... Honestly, if what we are going to watch here are scenes in which he puts a pieces of banana into a glass for her and tops it with some whipped cream while she praises it like some miracle for her post run snack and we watch this all in detail, then I say it would be better if the show already ended.
Yeah, it's so "easygoing drama" that I'm bored at epi 5/8. And I'm not sure whether I'll finish it because I DON'T binge on dramas in one or two sittings especially if it's something that bores me I do close it and try watching it next time......
So far, rather vague and uninteresting. Struggled to finish episode 2 for like a month, LOL. My overall interest is very close to zero... My interest in that 8mm movie IS zero. Enter Minami: My interest in the upcoming love square, where ALL the pathways are unrequited (how original), is also very close to zero. So far, this looks like perfect DROPPED dropped drama candidate....... To me, whether a drama is FUN and enjoyable is the most important thing about it. Not whether it was queer enough, of whether queer was portrayed well enough in it, or whether I do objectify queer with not enough respect while commenting about it, like someone below me ranted, LOL. Because if I'm not having fun, any kind of fun, if I don't have any interest in what happens, and if there's not ANY romance that's enjoyable for me, while btw it's listed FIRST in the genres (Genres: Romance, Youth), then I quit watching and then I quit commenting, whether with respect or not, and then I forget the whole thing.

Yeah, that's definitely something they should advise about and warn about in every c-drama, LOL
