"Promo drama for PUBG"...... From a look on their channel, it seems they actually do video games. They made such a good drama to promote VIDEO GAMES????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
This really is FAST paced... romance. I don't know, somehow I don't get to enjoy the romantic side of it much when they already declare their love and sleep together in episode 2 (and those are short runtime episodes, too). But, after all, they are married. It's not that I can complain. It's not that I do...
I tried the first 1 hour episode (or 2 half-hour ones) of this for the sake of those positive reviews. It would be a first time I'd not drop a long k-drama... (didn't happen). My main problem with these in compare with the 16-episode ones is actually not the length. I honestly find even those 16-episode ones LONG, lol. It's them being overly crowded with aged, one-too-many-plastic-surgeries wearing, and/or generally less appealing - in one way or other - CAST: the typical side-cast which in the 16-episode drama, I would ENTIRELY skip, to watch the main cast only. But here, there's ONLY them. Where to skip to? Usually, next drama lol.
Or, at least that's what I thought. What follows is the montage of the old couple "dating" in the forest, though supposedly without talking or touching each other. Her voiceover informs us about their passion burning the more intense for it. What we really watch looks funny, morelike. As viewer, I always beware when voiceover is used, and tries to manipulate me into believing that I'm watching something different than what I'm actually watching. It's like if you'd be fed some propaganda in a restaurant, to make you believe you're eating something else than you're eating.
As for the story: Obviously, we'll get to watch only the less interesting couple out of the 2 from the drama. After she stupidly signed a document forbidding her to meet him again, else she'll pay money to his wife till she dies (which I never understood why she'd have to), she moves to another place. And when he randomly visits it, 1st thing she does she seeks the guy out. Watching her putting on a lot of makeup and running to watch his lecture or going to the certain forest just because he mentioned he might visit it, then sitting in the forest alone and bored out of her wits, was bordering on funny. Not to mention him running after a certain bus (that's where I really burst out laughing). I could only smirk when they failed to meet at the tiny place. What a "drama", LOL (though they used the title song from the drama). He then comes back to his weirdo wife (which I never understood why he'd have to). She has the opportunity to get to know Hirayama Hiroyuki's guy better.
Yeah I tried to put it more simply but it got super long review after all, LOL. Therefore, the poster comparison was added in my last paragraph, to describe what this show's problem was in an instant. A little, small example: This says: ROMANCE! https://i.mydramalist.com/kL6zr_4f.jpg This: https://i.mydramalist.com/pORmVf.jpg says it NOT. LOL.
Watching this, I had 1 emotion: LOVE Tae Oh. I didn't like the other boy, as likeable as he was..
The secondary characters - who were not seamless in joining him on the same show and perhaps that was why they had to be forcefully crammed into the same house with him - I more or less tolerated, honestly I might prefer to watch the character of Tae Oh in a completely different story. The main girl, as much as he tried for her, was not a great fit with him,
but I cheered on: this is nowhere near any satisfying ending, though. It's basically just 1/2 the season, so it's difficult to rate. Thankfully the remaining 8 episodes exists, labeled as season 2...
Funny how one of the top's review headline is: CONFUSION. Honestly, is that surprising? This product is a cut of 2 characters and their scenes out of a serial which itself was poorly written, with a weak story full of holes, to begin with. Its very existence is like official confirmation that the rest of the material was UNWATCHABLE, therefore this cut was made. But does it make even less concise watch? Hell, yes. LOL
This was overall a good show, as for the final episode, sadly I found it stupid from start to finish, let's see what difference would the following movie make.
This is cute. On the other hand, after more episodes you might become annoyed with how the guy keeps pulling the girl's cheeks. And you might notice the main actress has legs which are so skinny that you start to wonder how is she even able to walk on those. Ironically, since their first kiss, I no longer cared about the main couple. And I never cared about the other 2 people out of 4 on the poster. And I was not interested in the story of the both mothers. So, as I progressed more and more to the end, my interest pretty much dropped to zero.
Might seem comedic, but I'd be seriously concerned if he was my friend.. While shooting a ball of a different colour instead of sperm might sound funny, knowing that after the red one, he won't be able to have sex for the rest of his life, is not. How will the guy continue to live? Of course he'll commit suicide. But, I'm still on episode 3, so maybe the drama will have surprising turn... EDiT: It does have happy ending. Though, I didn't get it, to be honest, LOL. The two of them were happily in bed together, possibly STILL having sex? If they used the last, red ball and got the baby from it, did they just cuddle or did I miss something LOL Overall, I was glad that the main boy ended up with the right girl. He was not the typical romantic male lead, he was handsome, downright nice, but ordinary, with ordinary job, often shown smoking onscreen (that's how 2006 drama differs from today's, lol) also he was quite horny, LOL. The drama didn't shy to show things that were bit ecchi/disgusting/awkward.. and in the end, funny. Human. I found the main boy's first girlfriend a bit creepy. And the married guy's wife a total psycho. Even the doctor seemed a bit creepy at first, she just seemed to care only that she'll collect all the balls from the poor guy (and she did cost him 1/7 of his all sex! or did she not? then someone has to explain the happy ending:) But I was glad I watched.
Huh? Why did DoHa drop the hot guy? He's the almost only one on the cast not looking feminine, and the only one having sexy voice. With her reason being that she "needs more time for herself"? What a cr*p. Exactly what DoHa was NOT about. At least 1st season DoHa...

It's now possible for everyone to run those through google translate at least. Which is better than nothing.
