Okay, the final was a bit of a disappointment. Most of the screentime was dedicated to the main couple only, we could watch a few "happy ending" bits for 2 other couples, we could watch children, giving life advice and support TO the parents (this show's main theme, after all). We could watch a separation which was in no way a final one but we cried a lot about it. NOTHING of Ma Hwi Young. The end. End credits.
I rated this 8 out of 10 because there's NO WAY this show was BAD. The cast outdid themselves, they so did the best they possibly could with the material. There was a message behind most of it, it had a heart. On the other hand, there were quite a few things and characters the writer just left behind, for the sake of us listening to the same sappy song for 10th time. That wasn't enough.
Gee, this lakorn looks hard to digest.. Just the main couple, how "credible" they look.. The 34-year old "Great" Warintorn, and 25-year girl dressed in doctor's coat (she must have graduated early) who looks like a model with dull personality.. trademark Diana Flipo.
That I don't know, I paused my viewing halfthrough 2nd episode.. While it is entertaining, I'm not that fond of the cast and the Action/Mystery genre, so I put this on hold, I'll watch this bit by bit later.
One thing that is better in this lakorn than in most that I watched (around 400 of them) is that everyone on the cast did a good job on kissing scenes and bed scenes. All the kissing in this lakorn is real kiss and looks good, and every couple has good bedscene/s. And not just some weird attempts of the both, like in most lakorns.
Okay, it's clear that no matter the poor production, people loved this couple:) When I watched just 1/5 of it, all I've seen was that one boy keeps pestering one other boy, because he likes him or whatever. The other boy is not interested. Then suddenly, one night he takes him to a motel. So I thought I needed to see the cut 1st sex scene to see how it went on between them:) But the only uncut link on allforbiddenthings.wordpress has the 1st part deleted by now. I searched youtube and found video number n4v2PPpS2Zo that has the sex scene:) The music they chose to pair it with is horrible, though. LOL I must say it did not really clear things for me LOL I did not like the straight cut to the next morning, but this was such a weird contrast to the funny & quirky. I'd prefer something in between. After I completed all the uncut version, I can say that though I did like the main couple (I felt like I watched both the actors before, though I did not), it didn't really have anything re-watch worthy.. And the second sex scene, which comes so near to the end that I already thought I missed it already (I did start to fastforward a little), looks a BIT better (well, it could not possibly look any worse) but the same idiotic music plays with it? Second time around, I had to laugh. Either way, even without the weirdo soundtrack, boys looked way better just hugging. Maybe the movie will be better...
It took me more than a YEAR to complete this, because I watch budle of shows always, never just 1. And it having 44 episodes proved to be THIS long. I liked the cast, loved some main couple's moments.. It took seriously long time for them - like 3/4 of the series - to kiss. Then it dragged with her treating him super harsh, while he kept being super nice to her. I wonder if in the overpopulated country there is such a saint available for every reasonably attractive woman. It would be good.
'Swan Wings'? After I watched 1/3 of it, which means more than full 7 HOURS, I started super-fast forwarding to the end sorry not sorry. It's stupid when the main guy does not wear the mask (she keeps daydreaming about some fictional scenes with him that obviously never really happened), and it's stupid when he does wear the mask (he is super recognizable even with that on). Not to mention the whole obligatory kidnapping of the main girl to "make her pay" (one review mention "rape", but there's not really such scene to be seen, either it was too short for my fastforwarding, or it was left to "imagination", also) for something she supposedly did which he cares to inform her about in the final episode while he might as well said that in like episode 2. The only thing which is not boring is that nang'ek is not the typical super innocent type. But that's all. It's all pretty vague and random and you don't really understand why anyone does anything. Screentime is huge and bigger than any viewer's patience. I can imagine only if this was a soft-core thingy with 50% bedscenes, then the haphazard remainder could be excusable LOL
Okay, we know that Bee Namthip is still so beautiful, she was destined to land roles like this;-) This is the "Queen" kind of romance, thai flavor. This version, they're 39 and 28, there is the age gap but he is not VERY young. I've already watched korean version and checked out the old taiwanese one. I think to know this, first 2 episodes are sufficient. Because you get to see them flirting, kissing and almost having sex:) If their chemistry works for you, then you can continue the drama. I recommend the korean version because that has an attractive male lead.
