She's too young & pretty for the guy.. There might be the erotic theme to this show but the main character is the type of a guy who is not interesting in any respect. All his problems are pretty basic. In that, it's very "slice of life"-y.. in other words, it's boring after 3 episodes already... I DROPPED it after the 4th, as I did not care whatever happens.
On episode 15.. I'm already feeling it for a while, that while the teacher keeps helping Choi Jun Woo a great deal, it might be Ma Hwi Young who needs help the most. The one character who seemed like a monster at the beginning: he grew up in monster house. He is also a victim, victim of his own parents (as we are all:) Choi Jun Woo now does 2 schools + 1 job so he's exhausted physically, but Ma Hwi Young is hurting in his soul.
Also Shin Seung Ho has such deep, attractive voice:) When he said to the main girl that he is a bad person, I really did regret he was not cast as her love interest:) I did not like Ong Seong Wu that much, to tell the truth.
As if working from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening was not ENOUGH (that's practically the whole day spent), it's sadly pretty common in Japan workworld to not expect to actually go home at 6 (that's why this particular drama caused quite a stir), which is something that's looked upon as an almost unachievable ideal in theory, not done in practice. Therefore, when this drama's heroine tries to achieve this every single day, she meets with quite a few raised eye brows. And though the writers came up with probably the most ridiculous reason they could think of (so that she can still catch the happy hour price on beer in her favorite restaurant), I could imagine more ways of impact on personal lives.
Especially when it's also a common practice to only take about 50% of the paid leave days one is entitled to. Workers are always reminded that each day they are absent multiplies the already heavy workload of their fellow coworkers, and this guilt helps to maintain the habit of everyone reporting a reason (like going at doctor's!) why they ask for each such day off, although no law officially requires this of them. Simply put, the work culture is that everyone works their butt off except the "Golden Week", humbly reminiscing the history when the ancestors worked even harder.
Our heroine then, despite doing things which could seem common to westerners, actually leads quite a decadent lifestyle:-) I would certainly appreciate this drama to be more romance spiced and less "political", but I get that they needed to convey the message (hopefully things improved in Japan). Main actress is pretty, she has gently beautiful face. The plot is mostly about her work life, though. She aspires to clock off from work sooner than commonly expected (i.e. actually on time) each day in an honest way, by making herself more efficient, more productive. NOT by, for example, shifting the load onto somebody else. Still, she is bound to be targeted by envious eye.
Okay, somehow I expected Kijima's transition from Kido to Kuzumi to manifest in him being the top, now.. But he's still bottom?:) Anyways it's a bit difficult to ship Kijima with Kuzumi in this movie when Kijima still has more intriguing dynamics with old Kido AND with totally random kid Shizuo. LOL Haruhiko sounds so feminine:D Always cute the japanese cuture, you can f**k like crazy but you will blush to death when you should start address each other on first name basis LOL The movie felt uneven and somehow randomly put together. It had some small jokes, some repeated jokes, it worked with strong themes and characters in offhanded way, wasted time on strangers and the main couple's whole agenda just alternated carnal/crybaby. In the end, I can't rate it at least higher than the first series like I expected. Note: It's been 2 years for the actors, but Kuzumi now maybe looks older than Kijima LOL
Garbage. MC is weak ,a complete pussy, has two emotions through out the show. 1, smiling and 2nd neutral face.…
Don't worry about it, the drama is garbage, but you and your reviews are absolutely brilliant. Next time, don't bother to watch first 3 and last 2 episodes, that's still too many. I'm sure your brilliant mind can assess each drama since the first seconds.
Overall this is too short, so as a standalone "movie", I need to rate it a bit lower than 'The Novelist'. It basically served me as a teaser to watch 'Mood Indigo', which at first I skipped, because I was not in a mood for it when riding on Kijima-Kuzumi vibe. In the end, I took bit of a pause from Kijima-Kuzumi, then watched this, paused this in the middle to watch 'Mood Indigo', and then returned. It turned out to be ideal. I got to appreciate 'Mood Indigo', then got back in the mood to watch more of Kijima-Kuzumi. I'll have to see the longer movie to give better rating though, this was not sufficient.
I think what they intended to portray is that with Kido, he'll always be the more innocent one. While with Kuzumi, he is the less innocent one. It's an intriguing trasition he goes through.
Why was Kuzumi so surprised by the writer's smart phone when the writer already had a smart phone in Season One?…
You might be right but I think it's intended more like a running gag, with Kijima supposedly shying from modern technology. That's why it gets repeated here. It's this couple's only humorous thingy, after all.
Just when I was giving up on thai shows already I started to watch this and if nothing else it's funny at least. I suffered through a lot and dropped about 300 shows. SO refreshing that it's actually funny and not just annoying.
On epi 12.. I LOVE Soo Bin. I mean, as a character. It's just everything about her. Far from just being pretty & cute. All the ways she supports her boyfriend, despite being in tender age herself. I loved her scene with her father. I SO approved of it. It was like, she made him look. Just look at what you did IN YOUR FACE. I do realize the concept of this drama is to have characters where the children are more mature than the parents and it's a bit unfairly overscaled (but which drama does NOT overscale in one way or other). Still I stand by my opinion that this tiny girl is the most valuable character in the drama.
Okay.. On episode 4 and started to read the reviews to find out what this is supposed to be about.. Only to read that others also did not have an idea and called it bizarre LOL
Maybe she did not yet realize her feelings. It would be way more romantic if she had, in the end. Instead of putting…
Yeah, like I said. The writer of this would satisfy me better if either both of them started to feel more than friendship, or if this relationship was true friendship where this never really happened at all.

Yeah, but they did romanticize Neul, first. If HIS feelings also only stayed friendly, I would actually appreciate they put at least one true-friends couple in.

Funny that I first intended to skip it.
