I'm also so confused about XuanYe and Ying Yuan's timeline, Ying Yuan is over 10000 years (he said in one episode when I was rewatching), and he took part in the Genesis War because I remember YY telling Jidu star to not be reckless in the demon-god war like he was in the Genesis War (super sus), but I'm confused because supposedly Xuanye was defeated during that time. Maybe the war was really long, and Raqing defeated Xuanye, she gave birth to YY, left him with the emperor, and somehow she also died. Then the emperor raised YY while the Azura clan was looking for a rebound (?) and finally take YY to help him win the war.
