Yeah, after Ep1 and was "yawn"...I started ep2 and stopped after 5 minutes! So if sex scenes is what this series is about then I'll pass....don't get me wrong sex scenes are important here in BL land but it's how they are developed within the story...building tension and suspense...anticipation...That's what makes a great BL...If it's just about sex scenes than I can watch much better on porn channels! I'm out!
Sometimes it took me 3 days to get thru an episode, but I did make it. There is so much to say about this series. There are so many polarizing aspects to this series I don't know where to start. Seng as Toh needs an award for best creepy actor. I felt weird sometimes with his scenes. Too creepy for me. Seriously he was believable and did a great job. I did like Billy as Nuea...The transition to openly liking Toh was weak and the idea that he actually liked Toh was a stretch for me too. Tohs friends were very supportive and did have some really great moments. Like I said this series had a lot of extremes both good and bad. I loved the idea of the series and it had its moments but I didn't really like either couple...daisy and touch...I could have liked it but I didn't. This is one series that could have trimmed down and I think done better. However they did do pretty well because I believe like me most of the audience saw the extremes as imaginary quirkes comes to life.
Oh geez! There was certainly a lot of sweet and touching emotional events that occurred in the finale. I'm going to accept the H4 inclusion in the finale as a positive. Still, it doesn't make up for the issues of the previous 9 episodes. In my mind there are only two noteworthy scenes in the first 9 episodes. They are the boxing scene and the lightening rod scene. The latter being hysterically funny. Both rose to the level I expect for History series. I would have liked to know how did He Bo aka Johhny get to 2022? Was it divine intervention or a freak time warp coincidence? Anyway, Wynn gets the best actor award. I never did take to Liang even though he was reincarnated in the finale. We could have seen Linus Wang shirtless a few more times. It would have helped in some episodes. Lastly, I have to congratulate Elaine Ho as Se Mo for being likeable and understanding of her role. Most females in BL's are not likeable and are usually annoying. Yeah, overall, it was disappointing. At least the finale was good.

Not very likeable or believable character. Third is I loved Palms mom and they killed her. In case you didn't get it from above...There was too much violence in this series. I didn't really like Ben too much but I did think Chopper (Perth I'll never do another BL series(lol)) did a genuine and pretty believable job with a difficult role.
So I understand the novel has 3 endings...well I'm not loving the 2 that were presented so maybe they should have presented all 3...actually my suggestion would have been to only have one. Note to director, If you didn't like any of endings then you could have created your own. (Seems like the best solution reading the comments below) Ohm has out grown (cry baby) Fluke. I have to say that I am disappointed...I thought this was a slow start like some other History series and then we got the scene were Tai Che Ni wanted to get struck by lighthening which I thought was brillinat/hysterical and then the scene in the boxing ring...just great with lots of emotion and genuine feelings seen...so I thought TG it's going to be better from now on...but now it's so far from that and the begining story it's like why did they even do the time travel thing??? It was not necessary. It's not like it is a flop but it's not a wow that's for sure. I have grown to like Tai Chi NI and Hai Yi and want them to succed as a couple! Mr Liang? I was so-so on him from the begining. I didn't his character (Liang) was beleiveable and he did not come off as being genuine in my opinion. Lin I liked a lot from the begining and like him even more now. The plot and story have some serious continuity issues for me. That's my take at this point! PS even the Andrew Tan song is mediocre at best!
