it started great but went downhill 😅😅. People mostly like it because of the cinematography but story wise it’s second half wasn’t that good. I finished it but I lost the hype after episode 20 something.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but please keep it respectful. It’s common sense and basic manners. You don’t need to be a man or a woman to understand that. Even if this isn't his personal page, that doesn’t mean you should be disrespectful to the person . It’s the same logic as talking behind someone’s back just because they aren’t there to hear it. Exactly ! I honestly don’t think Empress dowager should have give him the throne . After The previous Emperor’s death , Yan Chi dad’s should have been the rightful heir and after Yan Chi. At the same time , I understand that history would have most likely repeated itself if Yan Sui turn out to be as greedy as his dad. Good enough that Yan chi isn’t really interested into having the throne.

I’m still at episode one and so far, the first half didn’t catch my attention. FOF I was barely few minutes in and I was locked in already. Same with MJY , I looked it in very quickly.

I said , you seem to like fantasy/Xianxia more based on the comment that you made. Maybe that why you didn’t like this one. When we have a preference for a certain genre we tend to be more bias towards that. There’s good drama out there that I also didn’t like probably because I’m bias more towards a certain genre. The elements, story telling etc.. didn’t attract me but it doesn’t mean the drama was a bad one. If you don’t like something doesn’t mean it not good it’s just not your taste.
No matter how someone can argue about the drama if you are bias towards certain stuff , it more hard to see when a point is being made. That’s literally all I meant to say.

Her secret tunnel was probably the dumbest idea she had . It almost got everyone killed ! Including her own clan . She smart but she didn’t think that one through and even after their relationship started getting better and they started open up to each other , she didn’t tell him. She ”forgot” about it . The male lead wasn’t a Saint , I agree with that but his anger towards that was understandable. He didn’t even tell anyone that she was the one behind that tunnel because this could have easily brand her as a traitor. Elders and other family members of the Wei clan would want answers. Wei clan abandoned their revenge plan against her Clan only because she married ML. She married the Wei leader otherwise, Someone else did that , they would have been easily executed .

Emperor crime can’t be public because that would also put Empress dowager in fault. if the public discovers that the Emperor was a evil twin, it’s would be chaos. He literally killed is own brother ( previous Emperor and took his identity) Fake Emperor also managed to killed all ”rightful” heir to the throne. The Throne should have been given to Yan Chi but Empress dowager choose not to because it’s would be to chaotic and they would have to expose the Fake Emperor’s crimes and hers since she literally hide the fact that she gave birth to twin and sent away one of them that ended up turning evil and killing his own brothers ( previous emperor, Yan Chi’s dad Prince Hui), his nephews ( crown prince and the prince) , his wives ( empress, consort and noble consort.)

doesn’t necessarily means that six episodes were removed. They could’ve have filed for 36 episodes at first but only film for 30. Production often does that just in case. Sometimes they files for 40 episodes but only planning to film like 30. it’s not uncommon

I mean people, this is Allen we are talking about, the script can unexpectedly be bad ( it happens )but the ending was expected from him 😭😂😂
