I would love a sequel with Boa’er and Changning. Their love story when they are more grown and see ChangNing as the Empress 😩

All that cause the Emperor was insecure about his own heir and obsessed with keeping his throne ( just to be force to abdicate at the end🤣). Terrible as a parent and terrible as an Emperor. Crown Prince is the heir , he is there to replace you at some point literally 🙄🙄🙄

IQIYI is the only one worth the money on all level . I saw WeTV charged to watch in 4K ! like you have to buy 4K separately once a month on top of everything 🫠🫠 IQIYI gives all that in premium, no need to pay for express if you already have Premium VIP , their standard airing schedule is also the best.

let’s have hope for Love Beyond the grave 😩. For me , I’m going to wait for all the episodes . I will decide to watch based on the ending .

I 100% agree with your take. I couldn’t bring myself to finish Fated Hearts either; I dropped it at episode 15, tried picking it up again at 24, but finally gave up. I skipped to the last few minutes of the finale just to see. The Princess literally betrays her own kingdom and her brother for a man who didn't even love her, yet they put her on the throne? It’s completely ridiculous and makes no sense for the characters.

The same thing ruined The Princess Royal for me. It started so strong with two powerful leads, but the writing fell apart. Li Rong kept wavering toward the SML (Su Rongqing) until the very end, even after knowing he likely killed her in her past life! They did Pei Wenxuan so dirty,the 'powerful strategist ' ML they sold us was not what we got. The SML had way more power and screen time for no reason, and the show tried so hard to make him look pitiful at the end. It’s exactly what you said: great character buildup at first, only for the writers to forget how to keep them consistent in the second half.

I understand the frustration. I wrote a whole thing about how express packages usually work because people kept complaining about it, and then not even a few minutes later, someone asked the same question again right above my comment, lol.

This one; people already knew the ending before it even aired because of the sequel. Since it’s was a trilogy, we all watched knowing what would happen 😩😩

The first one is also a sequel 😅. The timeline overlaps with Sword and beloved. It’s happening after Love In pavilion and some of sword and beloved.I don’t know why they release it first , it can be confusing.

I think the industry is becoming over saturated. I was so into Kdrama before but the past few years most of them been a let down.

I’m actually glad they’re sticking to the schedule. As for the leaks, it really sucks for all the people who worked so hard on POJ.
Despite everything, they are still respecting their original timeline, and I truly hope there are consequences for those responsible for the leaks. I know these companies can be greedy, but let’s not forget that there are real people who don't just represent big corporations putting their time and sweat into these dramas. We get to enjoy them from the comfort of our homes; the least we can do is wait a few days and follow the official release schedule to support hard working people.

I don't remember the exact details for Sword and Beloved since I wasn't watching it while it was airing. However, for some reason, Cheng Yi’s dramas always seem to have unusual broadcast schedules.

Love in the Pavilion, which is part of the trilogy, followed a standard schedule, I believe; but Sword and Beloved was different. As for The Journey of Legend, I remember iQIYI didn’t offer an 'Express Package' though I’m not sure about Tencent. Also, I don’t think the drama he did with Joseph Zeng had two episodes per day either.

I thought most people would know by now. It’s such an easy pattern to recognize, especially if you have been subscribed to WeTV/Tencent and iQIYI for a while now. They started the drama (Pursuit of Jade) by airing the first five episodes. If they decide to give an express package, it is going to be the remaining five. It’s always the same amount they started with: one episode plus the remaining four episodes (36, 37, 38, 39, 40). There is a 99.99% chance that is what they will do, like usual. My math on this has always been right so far 😅. Don’t expect them to drop the last six episodes at once if they initially aired the show with five. So if there is an express package, it's most likely on March 26th because that's when episode 36 is scheduled to be aired. 36 would be the regular episode for VIP, and episodes 37, 38, 39, and 40 are express.

The only platform that drops the last six episodes (two regular + the remaining four = 6) at once is iQIYI.The iQIYI standard schedule is 2 episodes per day for the WHOLE show. They always started with the first 6 episodes (2 regular + 4 express) and end with the last 6 episodes (same). When it is a co-production, or if iQIYI bought the rights like in this case with Pursuit of Jade (co-production), they usually do what WeTV/Tencent usually does (one regular plus the remaining four in express = 5). If it’s a MangoTV drama and it’s available on iQIYI, iQIYI follows MangoTV (one episode plus the remaining three in express = 4). Example: Glory (with Hou Minghao, which recently aired). This is what I have observed ever since I subscribed to iQIYI years ago. There have been a few times we didn’t get express, but from my observation, it is very rare, or the drama wasn’t an exclusive iQIYI production.

YOUKU usually starts with 4 (3 regular and one express) and ends with 4 (1 regular and 3 express). Youku has the habit of changing the schedule mid-show, 😩 so it's never sure with them lol.

Edit: Another example like POJ is Shine on Me! Same pattern, except they are more greedy with POJ and have been airing 1 episode per day for almost two weeks now. lol. Probably because it's a bigger project.

I'm talking about C-drama only; as for other shows on iQIYI, I don't know; I don't watch them.
