40 episodes felt like too much, but I agree that the fast pacing is making the story lose its warmth. 16 episodes would have been enough if they had focused more on the first part instead of rushing through it. It looks like they're shifting more attention to the second half of the story after the time jump.
I donāt understand where all the hate for the ML is coming from, and by ML, I mean the character, not the actor. If this hate is due to the actor's scandal, then that's a big inconsistency. Why watch a drama he's starring in if you can't separate the actor from the character?
